We all need to bark for Beatrix!!!

Sometimes you just have to make some noise for a good cause!

It’s a good thing that Trevor isn’t “much of a barker.” If he barked all the time, nobody would pay attention. They’d just yell at him to shut up. The fact that he only barks when he has something important to say, somebody will notice!

Lupinium: Beatrixia has gone missing. She was going to the Great Pyramid and hasn’t been seen since.

Trevor-Hotep: You mean they finally found a use for that big thing?

Lupinium: Yes. Beatrixia and Elvis-Anum have been using it to store papyrus archives.

Trevor-Hotep: My great grandfather Cosmo used to tell me about legendary scrolls that were kept there. Maybe Bea found one?

Lupinium: Maybe. But where would she go then?

Trevor-Hotep: Great granddad told me that the experts in Afar made some contributions. Maybe she went there?

Avenger: What are we waiting for? Let’s go!

Barkety barkety barkety bark – until you could hear them all over the park…

So.. a few years ago.. the kitty in my profile pic somehow got outside. In February. In some of the coldest weather I can remember here. It didn’t get above 10 degrees F for days on end. I thought he was a goner. My daughter and I tried everything.. signs, flyers and door to door and internet lost cats groups.. we start to grieve.After two weeks we are sitting down to dinner. And my dog.. who never misses dinner… instead of being at the kitchen doorway is in the window next to the door. And instead of barking (her normal someone is outside signal) she is wagging her tail. Luckily I can see this from my spot at the table. So I get up to see what she’s looking at.. I see nothing. But she’s insistent. So I go outside. And when I do I hear… my cat crying. I quickly determine that he is under the porch. We dig out the snow to make a path and he comes right to us.

I have some real “breaking cat news”. There is a tiger on the loose in my city.

National Swap Ideas Day —Anyone have an idea they’d like to swap? I’ll trade you two Michio Kaka for a Hawking and a Sagan …

Blame It On the Large Hadron Collider Day —Actually, it worked too well. We have all been sucked through the black hole that it created and are now in a different universe. Your missing items (car and house keys, various socks, a cell phone, several flash drives, screwdrivers and other tools, etc.) are still in the old universe. But look at it this way: at least you have a lot of Weakly Interactive Massive Particles (WIMPs) to play with.

TV Dinner Day —I remember when these were actually edible. Some even tasted good. Healthy, not so much. We now have a plethora of frozen meals, and some of them taste pretty good. Healthy? Still working on that …

National Hot Dog Day —In keeping with our policy of not discussing religion, I will not start the ketchup vs. no ketchup debate, which has lead to considerable umbrage in places like Ch’cagalandt, where ketchup on hot dogs is considered sacrilege by some. I’ve lived there most of my life. I was thirty before I learned this, and have always put ketchup on my hotdogs, as have both sides of my family. I’ve always figured it’s your sausage. Put what you like on it, don’t put what you don’t like on it, and shut up and eat, hotdog, or you’ll get mustard out …

I certainly hope all the adult humans off camera have figured out Beatrix is missing and are searching the area. Once she’s found, the bookstore lady needs to find out how she’s escaping and close it. This little kitty is too intrepid a reporter for her own safety.
