At the local science fiction convention, a Ghostbusters cos-play group had their own Ecto-1 parked outside the hotel. I spotted several cops near their car and warned the cos-players. The cops wanted their pictures taken with the Ghostbusters in front of their car. “They ain’t afraid of no cops.”

Mice can’t possibly be as noisy in an attic as baby birds who haven’t yet learned that birds are supposed to sleep when it’s dark out. One nestling wakes up at 2am and starts crying, waking up all the rest, and the next thing you know it’s like an explosion in a slide-whistle factory up there.

Absolutely adorable! Burst out laughing when I got to panel 3. This was so much fun to read.

Ahh Ghostbusters. Can it really have been 36 years ago? My Buds and I were all in our twenties, going to bars and hearing the Ghostbuster’s song by Ray Parker Jr. all the time. I love your take off on it Georgia.

OT: Nightmarathon and Lupin

“Ghostbusters” ended up on one of my writing playlists for the counterintuitive reason that it was impossible to write through it! Everything else on the playlist eventually faded into background noise and associative conditioning (music is playing, therefore I am writing) with time. Not “Ghostbusters”. When “Ghostbusters” came on, it was my cue to get up, stretch, walk around a bit, maybe grab another drink…and then sit down and get back to work until the rest of the music ran out!

I’ve never seen Ghostbusters, either one. Oddly, I purchased a copy of the 2016 remake with the female cast, and I still haven’t watched it. I forgot I had it. I think I mostly purchased it because I was sick of people attacking it because it had a female cast.

Today is:

General Pulaski Memorial Day —The “Father of the US Cavalry.” Being a substantial part Polish, I know about him, a hero in Poland and the US. How many others do?

Kraken Day —Unlike Nessie, the creatures responsible for the myth are Architeuthis and Megaloteuthis which may be the same species. Who’s up for some ika sashimi? Oh, by the way Chthulu says “Hi.”

National Sausage Pizza Day —Considering that the first meat on anything resembling a pizza was anchovy, I’m glad someone thought of using sausage. From there, it was one small step for pepperoni, a giant bite for humankind.

Bring a Piñata to Work Day —This is the day on which it does not fall … It’s Sunday, so the holiday will officially be observed on Monday, when it will fall.

Oh…you just HAD to go and make me percolate.
