I see a future in military intelligence for Calvin.

If the treehouse is stocked with water balloons, Susie could drop her own secret letter, sneak up into Calvin’s treehouse and bomb Calvin.

Subtly is not Calvin’s forte.

Apparently subtlety isn’t in Calvin’s genes.

“Loose lips, sink ships”, Calvin.

Someone commented this week that it is good how we see Hobbes as a living character then the stuffed doll that other characters see then as a living character again. We get a particularly good example of this in today’s strip with Hobbes walking behind Calvin and then Susie seeing him as a stuffed tiger in Calvin’s arms and then Hobbes and Calvin watching Susie from different sides of a tree.

Susie should send the letter back full of Anthrax. Scott Ian should be the messenger. Google it, kids!

Girls are dumb that way.

Real smooth, Calvin… You’ll make a GREAT supervillain!

Calvin, Susie isn’t as dumb as you think she is, then again, most women aren’t.

Usually, it’s Cal who needs the hit in the head to get something.

I wonder how many kids they have now.

A sledgehammer reads this strip and thinks, “D@mn, I’m waaaay more subtle than that!”

Who knew it took so much work to be nefarious, poorly?

Could you yell a little louder, Calvin? They didn’t hear you in Walla Walla, Washington.

He’s certainly piqued her curiosity now, I’m sure. The plot thickens!

Susie will show Calvin all his spelling mistakes in the letter

Double oxymoron…. Calvin AND Military Intelligence.

She’ll probably correct the spelling and hand it back to him again. That’s what my first wife would have done.

Calvin and Hobbes’s acting unnatural is probably the funniest part of this arc!

She should read it and decode it. Then she will know where they will be and at what time, giving her the perfect opportunity to sneak up on THEM.
