I refused to shock my dogs without trying it myself, I found it somewhat relaxing, especially on tight muscles. The one dog learned great with it, the other learned from the tones on one what to do but if you shock him he just does his business where ever he is. As if to say don’t you dare shock me or I’ll poop in the house.

Several years ago, a woman in our area was arrested for using a pig prod (less voltage than a cattle prod) on her children. How did the law find this out?I’ll bet one of the kids squealed!!

Haven’t been able to verify this, but the story goes that an amateur was trying out an RF amplifier when suddenly the neighbors dog began yiping and caught fire!It seems his signal overloaded the receiver on the dog collar, and instead of a few short jolts gave a continuous zap that eventually caught the dogs hair on fire.He said he heard the yipe when he went key down, but didn’t connect the two events becaus the dog was constantly yipping about something!
