Sounds like dad is beyond vegetable status.

I didn’t know Andy was my brother….

Andy, hospital visits are overrated, as far as the visitor is concerned. Let Dad watch Jeopardy and you go eat some of that fine hospital cafeteria food….

This is almost exactly like the relationship between my dad and his father… Sadly, Grandad died back in ’09.

He’s right about the remote. Some have buttons whose function is a total mystery.

This isn’t funny, just sad. We’ve got enough sadness.

So dad is sick, and it’s all about Andy’s needs? Bah, selfish kids. I’d ignore him too.

Andy, sit back and watch Jeopardy with the old fellow. You can guess the answers out loud together and you’ll at least be doing something with him while you can.

Excellent artwork, SP; that little change in the shape of Andy’s eye in the last panel does a better job of conveying sadness than cartoon tears ever could.

Raymond’s dad….?

I worked on the first computer version of Jeopardy. When I started the project, I liked the show. By the time I finished the game, I was sick of the show.

Anybody else remember when TV remotes really “clicked”?

It saddens me to learn of so many strained family relationships. I am very blessed to have a close-knit family.

One time I was at Children’s Hospital (nothing serious, don’t worry) and I was trying to turn the TV in my room on. I kept pressing the button, and I couldn’t understand why it wouldn’t turn on.Turns out I was pressing the button to call a nurse to your room. That was awkward.
