The real trick is getting your car up the ladder.

No kids? No batteries…And why aren’t slides fifty feet tall? And remember, the former is the ladder…Can’t believe skate boarders don’t use these…..

Look deeper and you will see:.a. A singles meeting place for young bridges looking to hook up with the opposite side, or. b. A show lot for politicians to select their own bridge-to-nowhere.

Are there any slippery slides left? I thought they were condemned as too dangerous some years ago. We had them on school playgrounds and in the city parks. We used a waxed paper bread wrapper (now extinct) to make it slicker- slide down a few times sitting on it and WOW could you go fast!

I came upon such a sign one day. As I rounded a curve I came upon a rock the size of a greyhound bus. Signs are there for a purpose.

While as usual this is, of course a snipe at the political idiocy that abounds in DC, given that a number of those slides open out onto the roadway and that the usual occupant of slippery slides is small children….I just think that given the events in Newtown this could have been put off for a while as just the slightest possibility of a child being hurt right now casts a pall onto the otherwise brilliance of the piece.

Why the hell do trolls and idiots have to attribute a political implication into every cartoon by Wiley ? Why can’t they take the panel at face value and enjoy the genius and humor without trying to give it some right or left wing spin ? Back off, enjoy it for what it is, OR, go to Doonesbury or Mallard Fillmore !

I see the car and the sign are on the left of the road and I deduce from this that the slides are either in the UK or Australia. (Maybe ROI).

It’s now 2023 and I discovered Go Comics, and am binge reading Non Sequitur, starting from the first comic and working my way to 2023. It amazes me how current these older comics still are.
