Man: Ok, gentlemen... you all know what's at stake here if we don't distract the media with a new omnious economic euphemism. The Bipartisan House Committee on Avoiding Actual Work
The House isn’t doing actual work? What, as opposed to the Senate and the White House? Boy, you really believe in the Big Lie theory, don’t you Miller?
Now that armageddon didn’t happen on the winter solstice per the Mayan calendar, perhaps the term is open for recycling (again). In any case I did think “fiscal cliff” was highly politicized.
the budget problem is in the senate my friend, the house is at least passing budgets. its not their fault the Obamacrats want to live like teenagers with a stolen credit card.
On Eric Cantor’s schedule, the House of Representatives will be in session for 129 days in 2013. Nice work if you can get it. And yet the lunatic right complains about President Obama taking too much vacation time.
I always thought the primary—and perhaps only—work of Congress was to get itself re-elected, something it does spectacularly well: something over 90 percent of incumbent congresscritters got re-elected last year, despite overall public approval of the body being under 10 percent.
We all know how foolish they are in the house. For some unknown reason they think borrowing 46 cents of every dollar we spend on one hand and paying for it with dollars printed from thin air on the other is some kind of problem. Wow! what a bunch of bozos. How can there be any kind of problem like that? Our all wise President who just celebrated his “second coming” didn’t mention a thing about it while reading his teleprompter speech.
This strip makes NO SENSE. These guy wouldn’t even be in an office. They would Tweet each other back and forth from their Winter Homes in the Caribbean.
Note that they’re drinking the “really good stuff” for whisky, getting it while it’s still reasonably priced while the Dollar is still strong (kind of). Pretty soon it’ll be nothing but domestic whiskey. Not even Canadian whisky!
Tucci: It is amazing how every scientist in the world (not on the payroll of the “awl bidness”) gets it wrong, but only one anti-science racist knows the truth – and posts it here for us poor mortals.
a lot of politicians are lazy. i mean making 180k a year, paid by us, with benefits and perks, and work only 2 days of the week. must be nice. how about to curb the deficit, they and their staff don’t get paid for 1 year by us. even apply it to local and state gov’ts. they still get paid for fund raising at their corporate masters’ bidding. one of them even ran for president started and quit in 2011 and still have not paid their presidential campaign staff.

And then don’t forget to play up partisanship, so as to deflect blame. (Works for both sides.)

Wiley is a great cartoonist, but clueless on politics. It is the Senate that hasn’t passed a budget in three years!

ask Frank Luntz to conjure up some more witch craft “spells” to get all those dumb white folks, it works every time. Stupid is as stupid does.

Hey Wiley, what about the Democrat Senate that hasn’t passed a budget in over 4 years? Oh, Oh, yeah; Democrats good; Republicans bad… got it.

The “fiscal cliff” was a media invention.

How about Point of no return, when interest makes it impossible to ever again balance the budget? Nope, passed that in 2001.

Just vote to repeal ACA for the 34th time. That’s better than a jobs bill, right? People that vote for idiot Teabangers should self-deport.
