Luann: "I've decided it's time to be responsible and get myself organized!"
Luann: "So that's a list of stuff I want you to remind me to do"
Mom: "1. give blue skirt to mom for hemming..."
1. Give daughter a needle and thread.2. Wack daughter upside the head.3. Remind daughter what “thinking about people other than myself” means.4. Wack daughter if she STILL doesn’t get the meaning.5. May have to repeat until she gets the message.
This could be my house!! My oldest tells me the exact thing that Luann said, but it never involves organizing anything of hers and it always involves a plan that adds more to what I have to do (remind her of something). LOL! Nice to know I’m not the only one to go through this! Definitely showing her this one!
ATTACHED, please note This Picture of Luann’s Room. This is what Your House will FOREVER look like AFTER You two are MARRIED, because Luann Will NEVER Change.
Looks about like my daughter’s room. I finally gave her money to set up her own place after college; could not stand the mess (I could close HER bedroom door, but there were always dishes in the sink etc).
Since she’s grown – when she visits, she’ll fix a little food for herself and kids then take stuff out to the pool area to sunbathe and chat on her phone. When any of my boys visit, it’s all about what they can do to help me with heavier things around the house.
Wow, my niece is giving their mom (my sister) a $150 car detail for Mother’s day, and said “she better like it”. Grrrrr, my sister (their mom) gave them (3 kids) each $60,000 college education. Young adults today…get a job, move out, and quit using your parents as “extra income”. Anyway, Happy Mother’s day all.
I gave my loved one $200 bucks for her Mother’s Day/Birthday to go pamper herself at the nail salon and what did she do? She said “I bought groceries for the house because we need them”…She always put others before herself…NOW THAT’S MOTHERLY LOVE!! HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL YOU!!!
Mom will hem the skirt. At this age she is still wants control over how high that hem goes. My mom sewed all her own clothes as a teenager. That way she could make the skirts could be so short they required matching undergarments.

If Luann was going to organize her room, first she’d need a shovel.

Last week was actually nice without the Drama Queen. Hope we see more of Bernice and Delta doing things together sans Luann.

Give Luann a red shirt, tell her to watch the original Star Trek, no whacking will be needed just ask Gibbs & DiNozzo.

Be careful what you wish for Luann! Mothers are well known for nagging until it drives you crazy!

It didn’t take her long when Quill was coming there. Just takes the right motivation.

By the time I was Luann’s age, I made my own clothes, even my prom dress and matching coat.
Happy Mom’s day to all the Moms and Mr. Moms.
