It is good to see Luann playing with Quill’s boomerang while she is fantasizing about him.^^that sentence should be censored :P

This is why having an ACTUAL DISCUSSION with Luann would be a good thing. They rarely ever TALK to her about these issues. Why they’re worried, etc.

ps. The Batmobile from the old Tv show wasn’t a Continental, it was a showcar called the Ford Futura, later renamed Lincoln Futura when Lincoln bought the rights to the general look of the Futura body for their ’56 & ’57 cars

Nice try, Luann. But you didn’t really think your folks would fall for it, did you? Frank could not be clearer, and even Nancy knows which way she wants Frank to go. Unless some outside agency brings about a change, Quill is headed back to Australia….

It’s the middle of winter in Australia, and the school year is only halfway over. Does Luann want Quill to drop out? Well, her priorities are plain enough.

Let’s see… Is Luann innocent, or scheming? I’d know if it were Tiffany, but Luann just COULD be unaware of what her folks know could happen. On the other hand, didn’t she ask Quill behind locked doors if she should tell her parents “Getting dressed! Be right there”

I’m not sure if Quill has already gone back to OZ, but he will have to eventually if he’s on a tourist visa. Quill is 18 and a legal adult. But he can’t work in the US without a work visa. He could get a student visa to go to college here, but for either, he’ll have to go back to OZ to get that stamped in his passport. So Lu will have to deal with his departure, at some point.

I guess the coming week will tell us if Q’s current stay will be extended, just a little.

And yeah… I think Frank’s “nowhere” comments might have had a double meaning. Maybe he is just a bit worried there might be a “cougar” lurking about… 8-O

It’s headed toward her 18th B-Day…

Since Luann’s Mom seems to like Quill, Luann’s idea isn’t impossible. Frank is outnumbered.

It would be quite interesting if Aaron Hill showed up right about now.

Luann is wearing the same top as she was earlier, so we can assume they’re driving back from the play. Since Quill hasn’t finished his pizza, we can assume he’s still in the States.

Since Brad is kicking TJ out when he marries, TJ may move into Brad’s old room at Mom & dad’s.

Ooh, perhaps if he studies in the States, he could perform in a play by Arthur Miller, Shakespeare, or a fifth-grader!

Like others here, I can see TJ and Quill rooming together when Quill comes back for a longer stay. Lu: Forget the Quill-lives-in-my-house idea. You and Quill get into the same college stateside, and parents are no longer a roadblock. Unless she wants the folks there to make sure things don’t escalate with Quill?

I do hope this is like Brad and Toni eventually. Quill is a solid bloke and a complement to Luann

Theater opportunities? Just where do these people live? And the theater media life is not the most stable one.

Sons are much better than daughters. With daughters, you have to be aware of every zipper in your area code. With sons, a parent only has to worry about one.

Of course, instead of having Quill stay in California, there’s another alternative – ship Luann off to Australia. Just think of all the tuition you’ll save, Frank!

Let us all remember that Karen (the REAL Luann) is helping provide the dialogue now. Papa Greg is still the cartoonist. At least that’s what I think I read.Soooooooooo – time in Luannaverse may skip ahead or may drag even slower. As my financial advisor keeps saying “Past performance does not guarantee future results.”

The way I see it, either Quill goes back to Australia and finishes up school there, or he stays, repeating classes for An American high school diploma a good agent that will steer him towards a college that offers a Fine Arts degree in Drama.

Sorry, that was all messed up…what I wanted to say (before I was ready to submit!), was that I think Quill will either go back to Australia and finish school there, or he will stay inthe States and finish school here…right between Luann and Tiff. (Tiff’s story isn’t done yet…a lot of loose ends left). Anyway, a counselor steers Q towards a Fine Arts degree, majoring in Drama, at a college somewhere in the States. So, then he can visit Luann all he wants…if he doesn’t find a girl friend first at said college. At this point in time, Luann is showing her lack of maturity.
