In the original local review for the 1977 movie, the critic said “Rated PG for no describable reason.” I guess someone soon figured out a reason.

That is what I saw in the movie when George Lucas upgraded “Star Wars” by adding scenes that were cut from the orginal due to lack of special effects. It was definitely an improvement.
