B.D.: Did you know it's already time for Sam to visit colleges? Boopsie: I did. B.D.: I didn't. I feel like things have sped up lately. Big milestones seem to whiz by unnoticed... I didn't miss menopause, did I? Boopsie: Don't worry, you'll know.

Trudeau may be the only modern cartoonist who hasn’t made a hash of aging his characters.

Yeah, poorly named semesters. I WISH it were snowing outside. Here it is January in the Northeast, and we are barely wearing sweaters.

She is also wise, doesn’t subscribe to the, “If you loved me, you’d just KNOW,” idiocy. She’ll let him know.

It is plenty cold here in the Midwest and I am happy to not have to deal with the snow and icy roads at least. Spring is just around the corner, I hope. Last year we got all the big snows around January and February. It even snowed in May. Wacky weather.

It might be nice to miss menopause. Men— oh pause!

And occasionally, menopause just sneaks in quietly; and Mama announces the need for ‘protection’ has gone away. Try to keep up!

“If Chicagoland (NE Illinois) could maintain a constant 77°F (25°C), that would be wonderful.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The bad weather is what makes us appreciate the good weather.

it’s due to get cold again in Atlanta. I look at the weather where family members are on my phone and the highs and lows are all very similar. I look at the “Local” weather and it’s all over the place, from 20s to 50s. Pretty tired of it.

Oh man, will he know! How many hide in their garage, show of hands? ;-) At least my wife apologizes after the tirade. I admit she is making attempts to warn me when it’s not a good time to poke the tiger with a stick. She is also doing what she can to lessen the intensity of her symptoms which are horrible for her and, in turn, affects me.

I’d love it if anybody wanted to take the time and trouble to list the years of the births of the younger generations of characters (Sam, Alex, Jeff, and so forth). Trudeau does what a lot of soap operas do: juggles around the character’s ages, skips years, and things like that. (That’s why on a soap opera a man can be a great-grandfather when he’s around 60!)

My wife actually apologized to me when it was over. SHE … apologized to ME.

Menopause is when men pause before saying anything.

Thanks for the birth dates, people. Now what about Alex?

I think I missed menopause – there wasn’t anything to differentiate it from the norm.
