Well, It gives us a chance to see her home environs. No more “supposing” if it’s a “palatial estate”, or a “stately Wayne Manor” or some sort… – Still think It’s going to be a visual aid. Maybe some props, etc. Or more along the lines of what Phelps said, the other day. In line with contemplating post HS steps, etc, Bern is probably going to set up to give a “post-dated speech”… – Tiffany’s probably going to help her look like… like… the future…..the future….(cue echo efect)

I’m not so sure Bernice is there for a makeover.

Bernice has always been the serious, straight-shooter, logical minded. I have a hunch she is having Tiff help her write her speech, to ‘dumb it down’ so her fellow students will think better of her.

I think Bernice wants a ‘make over’ she’s going to university and she wants to ‘start over’ she wants a ‘new look for a new life and new adventures’ She’s starting with her speech which will be the end of her ‘old’ life

I don’t think it will be a complete makeover, just one aspect of her looks. Most likely her hair, maybe cutting or coloring it. It sounds like a one time thing that is somewhat permanent. I wonder if she will give credit to Tiff in her speech?

One insight we are getting is what Tiff has to put up with because she is a beauty queen. She is warning Bern about comments others have made to her, and they hurt.

1) The comments are messed up today. Many repeats.2) Bernice wants to be in a picture frame, yeah.3) I think she could better use her ferocity to knock Knox on his Noggin.

“No other logical reason for this meeting.”^How about for to arrange a sort of demonstration? A role-play as part of a demonstrative example of what changes in the future could look like? – Or maybe to organize a few other visual aids in conjunction with the speech?

It seems like people haven’t been really following along.

Haven’t you noticed that she has come to the realization that “doing what is expected of her” is starting to get to her?

First the counselor going on and on, about that her life is what she can expect as the “top honor”. And how about that dress for the prom?

She is getting ready for a big change, but doesn’t want to admit it, not to mention is she is afraid of it. It isn’t “what she should do”.

She is going to get a big make over, the details are not really that important. The important part is that it will shock the people that think they know her and what she is going to do for the rest of her life. The speech will be her announcing her freedom from what they expect.

Uh-oh……….

Who’s to say that she didn’t tackle it via the “Vidal Voltage” method?… – Technically, plugging in crimping irons, blow driers, etc. is pretty much voltage and heat on the hair… Or… so I’ve been told… (ahem!)…

Not to mention that there were some reasons for that particular makeover… – And it was also during a time when she was in a “stringy, flat hair” phase.

You know what’s funny? Take a look at panel 3, for the 3/3 strip. – Three of them, three recycling methods there… And of the three, Bern (A.K.A. “Barbie clone”) has got….. the plastic …
