Speaking of movies, I one saw yesterday gave me an idea for an Ozy and Millie strip.[]Here’s the setup:-——————-Ozy, Millie, and Isolde are coming out of a showing of, “How To Train Your Dragon 2.” Next to the theater is a saddle shop, and Millie has stopped to gaze through the window with a thoughtful expression on her face.And Isolde is telling her, “Don’t even THINK about it!”

Were they seeing “Ghost Rider”?

Great looking banner. I envy Phoebe for having a friend like Marigold to watch movies with.

The last panel is beyond fabulous! : D I love the way Phoebe is sitting on Marigold, who is snuggled on the couch. The banner is marvelous! Thanks for brightening my mornings, Dana.

I love the artwork, but I thought Phoebe’s Dad should have made at least a token appearance on his day.

The last panel would make a wonderful poster.

TBH I was expecting a mother-daughter strip today ;) but this is wonderful as usual!

Who says that you can’t jump over a helicopter with a motorcycle?! James Bond did it in Tomorrow Never Dies. (Though I think that that movie is a bit mature for someone of Phoebe’s age…)

I love the way Marigold understands Phoebe’s comments, even when they’re oblique, as in the last panel. Just beautiful!

Movies ignore physics whenever it suits them. Rambo doesn’t blow himself up with his “indoor” missile launch because of the Hero’s Death Exemption, but the bad guys in “True Lies” have no such card to play and thus die screaming because of their stupidity.

Now let’s consider the sort of propulsion and technology needed to fire an unweighted monofilament from Spider-Man’s webshooters several hundred yards instantaneously, regardless of the strong winds one encounters when you’re 20 or 50 stories up…no? Okay.

Outside, the realm of plausibility.

Here’s something even more implausible: Marigold using a contraction, when she says, in Panel 3, “I suppose that’s so.”

Lovely!

This is one of the few comics where I enjoy the comments (I read them all) almost as much as the strip itself.
