Luann is drawing upon lots of… “experience”. She’s at least got that line down pat…. – For all those who thought it was “the end of the world” about drama camp last year, this goes to show- you never know …. Maybe not getting something when we think we should is good, and maybe circumstances wouldn’t have been as favorable then for an endeavor, as it could be later on . Some things may have worked out nicely, but getting a break later on, could be nicely + 1! – And for all of Lu’s wanting Quill to spend more time with her, the question is, will she do the same as what she griped to Quill! about? Or would she even take hold of this opportunity that could be “sprouting a bulb” before her? And how will the shoe feel on the other foot? And will those shoes match what she’s wearing? Did she even keep the receipt?…. Does anyone else own the same pair? Willl….

Unfortunately, Luann, “acting” consists of more than just being yourself.

I think Luann could really get into being an Assistant to Quill! I hope Ms. M will seriously (is Anything about Luann "serious?!) consider her for the job. Just think of all the LOL story-lines (well, maybe 2 or 3) that could come out of that! Especially where Tiffany is involved… ’)

Possibly I am straying from today’s subject a bit, but I have told many people that if I could change the past of Golden Age Hollywood, I would like to see Mae West in a movie with the Marx Brothers. Imagine the quips & gags…
Scott Stevenson over 10 years ago
It doesn’t, directly. But in theater classes, you will do some of everything. I acted, did sound effects, built sets, and ran lighting. At a certain level of experience (especially when you get to the point that you’re working at a drama camp, even as “assistant to the assistant”) the ability to knock a flat together is taken as a given

Sounds like a good idea to me, too! ’Nite all! ;)-—————————————————————————“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.” (Often attributed to Mark Twain, but first noted by Benjamin Disraeli, 1804-1881).

How about a 1950s remake of Gone With The Wind, starring James Dean and Marilyn Monroe?

Yeah, Luann, be as assertive as Tiffany with Mrs. Manicotti! It just…might…work. Or not. But great job with the haughty expression—it’s just so Tiff!

God, I hope that’s just Luann acting and not being herself.

It’s hard to tell just what Mrs. Manezon’s reaction really means. Badenov [as in Boris and Natasha, AtomivDog ]? Great new discovery? Diamond in the rough? I think Quill gets points today, however this goes subsequently….

One might say she’s a drama queen, er, I mean a queen of drama.

Does Mrs. Manezon not know that Luann is Quill’s assistant, when she excludes her on the basis that this is a staff meeting? If she doesn’t know, then is Quill really authorized to hire Luann? And if she does know, but didn’t want an underling like Luann in on a meeting that is meant for Mrs. Manezon’s direct reports, then isn’t it very much improper for Quill to invite Luann to attend it?
ManateeGag over 10 years ago
As a teenager, she’s been practicing that line for years.

And the fuse is lit! Lu said it herself, “I’m just warming up!”
Expect all kinds of sparks over Quill’s lack of attention paid to her. I have no idea if this relationship will survive the summer, but it’s starting to not look so good for them….
Meh~tdology, fka Pepelaputr over 10 years ago
If you want some drama in your play, pick a Drama Queen.
TORAD_07 over 10 years ago
it’s all a matter of balance, as you learn later in life. Tho we’ve been pretty hard on Luann’s frustration and desire for attention from her beau, it’s also incumbent on Quill to find a balance between work and personal interests. It’s too easy to get lost in one’s career goals, and lose sight of other important things.
Very true. I should have taken that advice a lot earlier in life.
It could go either way with Lu & Q. Like you say, “balance” for both of them. It’s all up to Greg & Karen. I guess I’d have to ask, which scenario (i.e. staying with Q vs. meeting others) would allow her to grow/mature more?

-I wonder if Gunther is still alive-Why would that thought occur to you? He wasn’t flying over a war zone…-Given the expression on Ms. M’s face, I didn’t anticipate that she would offer Luann a scholarship to Mooney, or anything, for that matter. At best, I thought she would show Luann to the door….

> I wonder if Gunther is still alive.>Alas, no. To get to the clinic from the parking lot, it was necessary to walk 100 feet through an open field. The poor lad gave it his best, but he didn’t make all the way. We’ll miss you, G-man!
