The hell?

They can use the backseat of a car. They can get a hotel room. They can use the couch at work. They can use Bernice’s bed because she apparently lets anyone in her room. They can use their own beds because they’re both in college and Luann’s parents need to accept that’s what college kids do.

No, they can’t use their own beds…. They might be legal, but my very point is, Frank and Nancy (and Ms. B on the other side) are the homeowners. the “alpha” folks. And only they get “the privilege” Frank might have to accept that Lu is an adult and can do certain things if she wants, but not in his house, and/or on his dime (which she still is).

Yes, they can still go to hotels, etc. but that costs $$$. And I don’t know how many $$$ Lu has budgeted for that. The other places are either too uncomfortable (i.e back seat of a car) or too risky (i.e. risk of being caught). And how long would it be before Bernice gets dinged by the Housing staff for letting someone else stay in the dorm room all the time?

I think Lu’s best shot is for Quill to leave the Berger residence and pay rent some place where the landlord doesn’t live in the same premises (or can spy on them). Then Lu can go there. Of course, I’m sure Frank and Nancy will want to know where she’s going all those evenings, but…

If Nancy hasn’t talked about protection with Luann by this stage, she probably won’t do that until the night before Luann gets married…

RB2…. not all kids that age are into premarital sex. So, to suggest, " They can use their own beds because they’re both in college and Luann’s parents need to accept that’s what college kids do." is QUITE a leap. Whatever your own philosophy about sex before or after marriage… the same range of opinions and actions that occurs in the adults also occurs in the college-aged student….. some will be very much in to copulating and all things involving their sexuality, whereas there will be others who are abstinate. And, there will be some, like Luann and Quill, who attempt some modest forms of non-sexual intimacy, but feel stymied by a myriad of outside forces. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++So, I guess I am simply saying…. as of right now, Luann is a very young college student (who appears to be on Moonie’s Campus more than her own) who is obviously in a period of her life where she is attempting to find her own distinct path along the long and varied continuum that represents our species sexual behaviors and proclivities.

I wouldn’t throw Ms. Berger a party. I’d throw her in front of a train. .

I still suggest that having intercourse in a premarital fashion is not a given even amongst today’s college age set. There will be a wide range of different levels of coital activity or non-activity.

This explains why Gunther is so scared of sex, he’s afraid of his mom watching everything he does.

Is Mrs. Berger naive or is she devious? Does she really have designs on Quill, even if only subconsciously? I suspect not, though she does seem to have transferred her s-motherly “protectiveness” from her absent Gunther to the very present Quill….

“She is still looking after Gunther’s interests, even in his absence. What a good mom!” ^LOL, or maybe also the interests of those who would support a Luann and Gunther relationship….

Quill should be a gentleman and walk Luann out to her car… where there would be no hovering mother-person.

Quill’s parents have funded him to go to MoonyU for its Drama course..They must have been willing/able to pay his dorm bill while there. . Why isn’t he in a Moony dorm like Bernice?

Actually, I think that Quill is another “Scholarship Rider”. And staying at the Bergers’ ‘wipes out" the need for room and board, and part of his visa was him working here, which is what’s happening at Moony. He’s now a paid assistant to Manezone….

Not Karen, though. That’s why “The Kisser Of Oz” escaped the volcano… – Only if Greg can find a way to feed him to the “killer butterflies” by doing it, then maybe he’d be on board with it…

LOL, and… Guess where the original “Berger’s Cookies” are?….. I guess I’d better cross them off my shopping list for this evening… okay, maybe just one more cookie…

I think today’s FB post(found in the link here ) from the Evanses kinda sums up the whole thing, as they summed it up, this way: – “As a parent: watching your kids grow up can be hard.As a kid: parents watching you grow up can be hard too.”

And also, straight from his blog (at Cartoonists’ Studio), Greg will never make it “one way or the other” when it comes to sex. He said that he will depict the issues surrounding the subject, but that he doesn’t enjoy the way that media “saturates” everything with it. So he says, that like some, he’s against “putting sex out there in things”, but also like the rest of us, he said that he will discuss issues pertaining to the subject… in other words, he’s going to leave it all “on the fence”, and not make us go “one way or the other” (except perhaps what we each may be inclined towards)…..

I forgot to add that one of the Berger’s Cookies stores near where I live had a bit of a rocky time in the news, this past year or so…. I don’t know if the one in Delaware did, or not… – Heh, heh, I guess that’s the way the coo-
