I actually saw that vote on TV. A verbal response and I couldn’t tell the difference between yeas and nays. Neither could the moderator, he asked the question again and when the result was the same he passed the removal anyway. There were a lot of boos over that too. I’m not saying that being divided 50/50 is any better but don’t condemn the whole party for the act. .Before you ask, I am now a republican but I never was a Democrat. I used to vote for whoever I thought would be best, until I realized the three worst presidents in history were Republican. That includes Obama BTW.

So this is supposed to be funny because the cultural differences between Republicans and Democrats are supposed to be obviously less important than what movies one likes? Sorry, but Rita’s right in this case: all her reasons for being attracted are more superficial than her reason for knowing it can’t work.

You can just choose to not talk politics and still have a great relationship. I think enjoying the same cultural entertainment topics like movies, music, etc is more important because those are things you do daily. Politics can stay out of a relationship for at least most of the time.

if whoever this is likes Rita, she could justify it in her mind saying “he’s a Republican-leaning Democrat”. Leaning toward her at least. Good grief, my wife is different religion than me and she and our kids are on different side of center politically. so what

Hmmm. The fact that he’s rich should trump everything else. At least that’s what I’d expect from Rita.

hmm.. so according to my politics view I have to choose religion, what is right and wrong and so on.. interesting.. I though it was me who decided.. I choose not to be a moron, what is the political party for that?

‘Mixed’ relationships like this usually don’t work out, which is why I believe that Roy and Kathy are gonna go the distance. Now if only I can find a geek girl of my own…

I tried that, but Florida has a closed primary. As an independant, all I could vote for was the judges and the referenda. It might work in states with open primaries.
