And “Legal Department” doesn’t take up as much space on the door, so it looks less important…

Why not call it The Cover Our Ass Department (C.O.A.D.)? Or if they have to make it sound more sophisticated call it ‘The Coverage of the Hind Quarters Agency’ (C.H.Q.A).

If the legal department ever came to its senses, the door would just read “Hic Sunt Dracones”.

After ACA, health care is hardly a good example of private enterprise.

how true.Watched our new legal department turn a 3-page contract, including SOW, into a 16-pages MSA, plus a 5 page SOW — and watched contract negotiations at least quadruple in length… and lost some potential clients and contract renewals due to it.

And some c-levels couldn’t understand why the customers were complaining.

Sorta truth in advertising. Yeah, but it takes a genius to figure out why the joker did it that way.

“And it passed without one Republican vote.”Not at all unexpected, they filibustered their own legislation for political reasons. Care to show any proof on that last part?(and define Libertarian Constitutional Constructionist.)

I’ve been in the private sector and I’ve been in the public sector, The bad decisions and wasted effort are in both areas….The only difference I can see, is that private sector work is done for a profit…Which generates money, and gives them more money to waste.
