I, myself, personally, don’t much care for the last panel. But I do recognize that it’ supposed to depict one of those moments where a person says something, and doesn’t yet fully grsasp the “gravity”/"significance"….or how their intended meaning can be overshadowed by a new and sometimes unintended one….

Luann is sort of missing the point of the assignment, since the paper mache’ is made from the self-portraits that were her “shredded ego”, and using it to make a mask of her own face is in fact an expression of her ego. She is re-assenbling exactly what she was supposed to have given up. She should therefore use the paper mache instead to make a mask of Quill’s face, rather than her own. Yes, Quill’s face. Most definitely face. Face, absolutely. Face, that’s the ticket. Yes, face. Face. Got it, Luann? Quill’s face.

Although missing the point of the assignment (even as I missed the double entendre until others pointed it out—thanks, guys) it’s a nice symbol for growing up—shred everything you thought was you, mix in some outside influences, also shredded, and reconstitute a whole new face! Evans clearly wrote this to mean that Quill was going to do Luann’s face with the goop. Just because people can read it another way does NOT make it obscene. It’s funny, not lewd.

This reminds me of a nefarious incident in college.

An “evangellical” motivational speaker by the name of Crawford Loritts was going to appear on campus. So, in advance of his appearance, the evangellical community put up tree posters and signs, in big bold letters, saying “Crawford’s coming!”

This joke is as obvious as white on rice. Why on earth anyone would practically run through the streets bragging about how they realized it can mean 2 things is beyond me. And yet I’m not terribly surprised by the comments expressing outrage for this tame old trope.— Of course, I have a terrible headache and so I’m not being my most generous. :=)

I would “assume” so, but in this day and age of “reworking”, you never know. But I think, if anything, the folks at Disney would know better than to ’mess with" that formula! – And even better, if some of the guests got treated to their own “muppet likeness”!

Greg basically treads on egg shells: no religion, no politics, no sex, no gay folks, very little violence, no smoking, no drinking, no drugs, no pregnancies. In fact, only Dirk got married and had an offspring (off screen). So, give the guy a break if he wants to throw in his double entendre. Personally, I think Tiffany should show a little more cleavage and go commando. Greg’s environment is so sterile, you could perform surgery in it.

Dirk) ; bullying ; blackmail ; Gunther exposed to Luann in full frontal; car chases, reckless driving ; violent car crashes, two BAD fires, etc. Several fights ; Of course, all these were not done on line in graphic detail, with blood flying, but they were all part of stories. .Greg is not a prude as some seem to imply, nor is he unwilling to reach out oto things that can trouble teenagers.
