The only qualification for President that matters is name recognition as voters walk into the polls. You could completely ignore the campaign until two weeks before the election, launch a media blitz, and still win. The whole 18 month campaign trail is designed to make a lot of money for campaign-related businesses and little else.

I read that Trump’s popularity is rising in the polls, in spite of his increasingly unpopular comments. I think it must be because people believe that as President he would eliminate the National Debt by declaring national bankruptcy.
