A spider is a program that visits Web sites and reads their pages and other information in order to create entries for a search engine index. The major search engines on the Web all have such a program, which is also known as a “crawler” or a “bot.”
With how hot it gets inside PCs, unless the spider is hybrid with a phoenix, you’ve got nothing to worry about. Aside from the fact that only 5 species of spider are actually dangerous to humans, only 3 of those species live in North America, and only one of them is potentially fatal and then only if you’re allergic to it.
