Vacation time?

“ROAD TRIP!!!!” Good luck to Georgia, The Man, The Toddler, The Baby, Elvis, Puck, and Lupin! May you all stay safe and have wonderful adventures along the way! Thank you to Burt for agreeing to run broadcast archives and “Our IX Lives” for us while you all are making your way to your new home! Georgia, take your time to get everyone settled in; we can wait for new BCN episodes!

Didn’t Georgia just move to California? I must have missed something. Why is she moving again?

The thought of moving across the street makes me shudder with fear and apprehension, let along moving across several states with cats and two babies! You Go Girl! To paraphrase Rudyard Kipling: “You’re a better woman then I Gunda Din!” Will miss you!

Safe Travels to all. I will be looking forward to the archives, reliving the memories. That being said, I will start a count-down clock for the New Season (just like network TV “Coming Soon!”Chin Scritches to the BCN team.

You go, Woman ! I know you are very happy to be moving back to the Seattle area, and I am rooting for it to stick this time :). What a great way to wrap things up, everyone gets ham, you celebrate black cat appreciation day, and we get a full color, multi panel Sunday-style strip we can keep going back to. LOVE the Puck and Lupin burning vacation days, and it took me a moment to figure out, but they are snapping Elvis into a harness and leash, right ? Brilliant! Force him to take a break.

Thanks for breaking the news through a comic! I am fine with the break and will enjoy seeing older episodes!

I hope your move goes well and newspapers make the wise choice and pick up BCN. We all hope you return from this hiatus, and as quickly as possible, and I’m sure the less tech-savvy will appreciate the comics being available in newspapers. :D

Apparently The Man got an excellent job offer in Washington state, which is where they really want to live. Georgia is happy to move back there before the kids start school. Looking forward to new strips this fall!

“When the cat’s away, the mice will play.” Just look at ‘em, standing there with their empty loot sacks, hoping to find lots of uncontested Good Stuff! I do hope the Robber Mice won’t get into too many bad old habits without the boys around! Hey, maybe they’ll even get bored!

Poor Elvis, being dragged away in harness! He may not like vacations, but he does like complaining, so he’ll probably be pretty happy after all — even if he’d never admit it.

Have a safe and wonderful journey with all your family (human and furry), Georgia. I can’t say how much I love this strip and the community you’ve created. I hope you have an easy trip (two babies and three cats – I don’t think so) , settle in quickly and then get syndicated. And congratulations to The Man on his new job.

“C’mon goofball. Road trip!” I LOVE that! The vacation attire, and especially the “goofball”, which is what my husband calls our dogs at appropriate times. Like when he’s trying to get them in harness and they’re too excited about their outing to actually get TO their outing.

Georgia, to you and your crew, along with everyone else I wish you safe travels and congratulations on getting back to WA. Thank you for providing this wonderful hiatus send-off – very clever and absolutely adorable. And the archives while you’re gone. One day at a time, don’t stress (HA!), and know we’re keeping the back-to-work fires lit for you. Wait….that didn’t turn out to be as nice as it was intended. We’ll be here!!!!

The hiatus gives us all something happy to anticipate (sort of like Christmas, or another celebration!) I eagerly look forward to new stories!
