Get a boat. Soothes that sports car urge but is fun for the whole family. There’s nothing like a day on the lake tubing, skiing, and swimming to make your teenagers think that spending time with Mom and Dad isn’t so bad.

My dad’s “other woman” was a 1958 Chrysler 300D. He adored that car and it had enough room for the whole family and a week’s worth of luggage and a sewing machine. That first family vacation (1961) he had it up to 135 mph. She would scoot!

“She”? “SHE”?!? What kind of nerd refers to a car as “she”? (Oh, I forgot — ALL the guys in FBOW… Dad, Mike, Gordo…)

And, like the “Other Woman”, it’s a cute little DEATH TRAP !

SPOILER ALERT: In a couple of years when Anne’s husband Steve has his mid-life crisis, Ellie will be thankful all John did was get a sports car.

Did the car grow? In the first panel, it looks like the roof only comes up to their waist - looks like a toy car. In the last panel, it comes up to Elly’s chest. And the others are right - it was red.
