Goat: It looks like some states are making it way too easy to get a medical marijuana card. Pig: How so? Goat: By broadening the list of medical conditions that qualify. Pig: What kind of medical condition do you need? Rat: I stubbed my toe on a pizza box.

Given my state made it way to easy to get a permanent handicapped placard/license plate, I wouldn’t be shocked if Rat could get away with that here. Seriously, there was an article back in the early ‘90s discussing how the state had one of the highest rates of folks getting handicapped placards/license plates in the country and all a person had to do was go in to their doctor and ask for one. As long as their doctor decided they had a reason they got a permanent placard/license plate. The sad thing was that it was estimated at that time 75% of those getting it didn’t require one. Folks could twist their ankle and be hobbling around for a week and the next week be back to normal, but in the week they were hobbling they could be given the placard/license plate. If we allowed for medical marijuana in this state I have no doubt someone could stub their toe on a pizza box and get that card.

Ron White had the best line on this subject. “I get depressed when I’m outta weed. Marijuana cures that!”

The only difference between retail medical and non-medical marijuana is the tax rate. Stubbing your toe could save big bucks. To save even more…grow it yourself.

Marijuana should be illegal. Period.

Donald Trump claims Hillary Clinton ought to have been drug tested before the debates, and he has a point.
After all, it’s right there in Hillary’s slogan “when they go low, we get high”

The use of pot, legally or illegally, medicinally or recreationally, makes you ineligible to buy a firearm. Think of it as sort of a back-door semi-voluntary form of gun control.

now, when it gets legal, are they gonna bust people for growing (pers use only)? tax evasion?

the government makes it legal so they can tax it – period.they don’t care about anything else – they say what they say for the photo op -so make it all legal and tax it 90% – it’s the new social government that so many people want – big brother we salute you!!!!!!! or should that be big sister!

Although it doe not help my pain, I think it should be totally unregulated other than driving when intoxicated and for minors

I live in Colorado, where we legalized MMJ in 2000 (and, of course, full legalization a couple of years ago). Stephan only thinks he’s kidding about this.

I’ve always been for less government (usually against Democrats) but support legalizing a lot of illegal drugs. My biggest concern is how to handle car accidents when someone is high on Weed? Some folks say it isn’t a factor but in my state even if someone is impaired by a RX drug, pain pill or whatever it still counts as DUI same as driving drunk. I doubt they will ever legalize it, but if they do it would have the same penalty as driving drunk.
So I say simple solution is if you are high on any type of drug, legal, illegal, rx or not…and you hurt or kill someone you go to prison.

Portugal decriminalized all drugs in 2001, and now has a more manageable situation. Instead of paying for enforcement and prisons, they pay for treatment for those who need it. Prohibition of alcohol failed, and prohibition of drugs has only brought us more problems. The 20th century is over. Let’s evolve.https://mic.com/articles/110344/14-years-after-portugal-decriminalized-all-drugs-here-s-what-s-happening#.zcLNv1Od1

Some states are making the special substance totally allowed for everyone. That’s the way it should be. The government has no right to tell people what they can do or can’t do.
