I was jealous of Harrison Ford for a while. He got to kiss her, after all. Heck, I would have played the role of Jabba if they’d asked. She really added a touch of class, wit, and beauty to an otherwise cold and cruel galaxy.
She was a few months younger than I am. She lived hard for a portion of her life, and she had her problems (hanging out with John Belushi and her recreational drug use as well as being bipolar), but I’ll always remember her as the kick-ass princess in the first movie.
“I miss her so much. I just want to be with Carrie” Debbie Reynolds told her son. Three hours later, Debbie Reynolds got her wish. Rest in Peace Carrie and Debbie…. Mother and Child reunion……….
“We don’t yet have the capacity to extend our lifespans. If we survive long enough we will. But not yet.”
.
Of course we do.
We extend it in many ways: better sanitation, improved hygiene, exercise and rest, better nutrition, not angering violent people, jailing violent people,…
.
Eventually we’ll figure out how to convince our bodies to rebuild ourselves at the cellular level.
It should be relatively easy, they already knew how to do it once.

Damn! I really thought we’d make it to the end of the year without another major cultural/celebrity loss. Wrong!Carrie, we’ll miss you!!!

She was a heck of a writer. Check out ‘Wishful Drinking.’
One of the last times I saw her she was playing one of Liz Lemon’s teen idols on an episode of ‘30 Rock.’

Sweet but sad.
.
I saw one of her Star Wars pictures from 1977.
She was just a kid back then.
(So was I, come to think of it.)

I feel bad for Debbie. You should never have to outlive your kids.

I also liked her cameo on “Big Bang Theory”.

Will definitely miss her, she had class and remained beautiful for all her too short days.

You can’t keep anybody alive indefinitely, but you can avoid the above problem.
(No, I don’t want to lose Debbie too.)
