If Tiffany thinks she can fool Luann, she’s got too much peroxide on the brain.

“Gimme the card, Tiff~!!”

Well, it seems that some of us mis-assessed on one point. Luann is, in fact, returning to work on the same day that the flowers were delivered there. So it did make sense for Jack to send the flowers to that address.

This is still disappointing. Some of us hoped Luann was getting a chance to just have some uncommitted social life, while trying to figure out her future. Instead, she gets a broken foot and more irritation from a high school bully. Don’t we have enough bullies in the real world? Why throw them at us when we take a few minutes to escape?

Sorry, Tiff. You are just not sly.

YAY – Luann had her eyes open! Too bad about Tiffany – I keep wanting her to show us some intelligence and even a little character. Maybe Tiff will fess up now that she’s been caught.

Well the denouement is about to hit, Tiffany is about to find out that Jack’s message was to Luann and not her. And it will be embarrassing because Tiffany is trying to hide the card. The issue is only on one side though IMO, because we really don’t know if Jack is just being a gentleman, but still might have an interest in more than one woman, including Tiffany, or he really has a serious interest in Luann. I think the latter, but in Luannverse you never know.

I can hardly wait to see Tiff’s reaction when she realizes “break” did not mean “break up”.

Luann’s fancy for Jack might wear out – however if Tiffany keeps on with the competition – that might motivate Luann to stay in the game.

Even if Tiffany hadn’t taken the card, Jack would have asked Luann about the roses the next time he saw her. And once Luann told her what happened, Tiffany would have realized she was wrong about what the card meant.

I do wonder why Luann bothers to be civil to Tiffany. She has to know by now that Tiffany is simply a self serving jerk. Now that they’re out of high school, Luann doesn’t have to be nice to her or even associate with her apart from work.

Tiffany is being as devious – and as selfish – as ever. Poor Luann might never know about the other flowers Jack sent because Tiffany stole them.

At least Tiffany was caring part of the time. That was a lot more than she would have done in the early days.

Greg should have included some “swishes” in the air to accentuate Tiff’s rapid purloining of the card.

Well, the way I see it, if Tiffany gets “caught” and realizes Jack is more interested in Luann than Her, and an “emotionally bruised” Tiff seeks comfort in Gunther’s “confused” arms, then THIS, will have all been Worthwhile.

But That Me…..,

I really wish Tiffany would have a story where she finally figures out that she has daddy issues, gets some therapy and grows up a little bit.

Glad Luann saw the card move. I hardly see Jack as Tiff’s type. I see her with the trim quarterback, not the defensive lineman. I actually like Luann and Jack together. He made her laugh.

Does anyone else think Tiffany is obnoxious?

Self-serving b…h, that’s what Tiffany’s latest move says to me. She hopes Luann will think she is being kind by thinking the flowers are from her. Fortunately Luann saw the card and I hope she pursues getting a look at it. It doesn’t make sense that Tiff would refer to a ‘break’ with Jack. The truth will come out. And in Tiff’s mind, Luann got the flowers anyway, so what’s the problem.

Oh, Tiff, you disappoint me. I had hoped that Greg was using Gunther to make you a nicer person, but I fear I was wrong. You are still an ego-centered, attention starved, bimbo who will continue to look for what you need at parties and bars and all the wrong places. My crystal ball shows a sad future. Solution: Dump Greg and move to a nicer comic strip. A lot of action in Chickweed Lane, but you’d better start taking music lessons.

Tiffany has always gone after a big break… but sadly, it’s Luann who has ironically gotten one.

I guess she assumes Jack would pick her over Luann, just like in her cheerleading days. Just wait until she “puts 2+2 together”, with the card and Luann’s injury!

Of course, if the shoe were on the other foot, would Luann even be very understanding about Tiffany’s behavior, today? Then again, if the shoe could go on the other foot, then neither one would be in this situation…

Hmm. Will Luann let the card issue slide? Probably not…. at least I hope not. I do hope that she reads the card and realizes Jack is sorry and that she continues to see him as a good guy.

Can/will Tiffany spin the meaning of the card in such a way that Luann falls for it and does think that Jack prefers Tiffany? Not sure. Tiffany CAN be convincing, but from what we heard the card actually saying…. if Luann does read it, she should not fall for any fiction from Tiffany. However, if Tiffany somehow drops/loses/destroys the card before gets a chance to actually read it…. and Tiffany “relays” the contents of the card…. well then perhaps Luann may fall for Tiffany’s spin on the card.

A LOT of people got very close in one way or another to calling it yesterday, but no one i read was perfect so even they get a surprise or two today.

Anyone want to bet that Tiffany finds a way to “accidentally” drop that vase on Luann’s right foot?

Well I, for one, am on the edge of my chair on this one. This could go in any direction. I just hope the writers don’t hobble Tiffany with the same-old ego-bound connivance that has been done to death, when here is a chance to humanize her beyond a shallow veneer. I’m not necessarily rooting for “comeuppance” (as I posted yesterday), but would like to see the human side we so rarely get glimpses of. As @Luann1212 said, the denouement is about to hit the fan.

If Luann reads the card and realizes that Jack feels bad about what happened, she may decide to continue to have some fun times with him – once her foot heals. Now, that makes me wonder about if Bernice and Emo might take another go at it. Until the accident happened, they really had no problem talking to each other. Even though his reaction to what happened was cool at best, there are some that are just that way.

If everyone in the strip were brilliant, the plot couldn’t go anywhere. And if Tiff was smart-evil she would destroy the vase and flowers.

Tiffany’s got not choice but to slide the card under her skirt.

Okay; one career path eliminated: Tiffany is not cut out to be a prestidigitator. If Luann does manage to read the card, it will be clear that the roses were meant for her, and Tiffany will be exposed as self-centered. That might be just what Team Evans is going for here. And, Luann gets to keep on experimenting with her Soft Romance with Jack the jock-with-a-heart….
