Does Ann know that Les added these three people to the guest list for this private event? Probably not, so that will lead to their surprising discovery of what really goes on there.

I haven’t been following comments on this storyline but am I the only one that thinks it’s going to be a Male Review and The Aussie Thunder from Down Under ex boyfriend will be one of the star “lingerie” models?

Okay, calm down “folks.” All today’s Strip proves is that the Thug has enough sense not to MESS with the Fuze’s, Owner’s Daughter.

On the other hand, Les seems to have forgotten Tara’s "no underwear,’ statement.

Looks like He’s STILL fixated on Tiff, which doesn’t bode well……,

Why is it that NONE of these young ladies is wearing anything that one might consider “form flattering” ? I mean, going out to an event like this, and they all look like they are schlepping over to 7-11 for a bag of chips.

I’m going to be beyond annoyed if this actually turns out to be a legit lingerie party and not an underground casino or something illegal that Ann Eiffel is profiting from. I wonder if Luann knows that Les’ mom, the planner of this party, is the awful boss she had who fired her from the bookstore and then sexually harassed her brother at Wiener World.

Should be very interesting whatever happens. I am not of the observation that Luann is flirting with Les, she is merely being expressive about how she feels going to an adult event, with boas. Lu does not know Ann is Les’s mom, and the other girls have no idea of the history of Ann. But since there has been so much mystery surrounding the lingerie parties, whatever happens should be quite “expressive”.

This morning’s coffee and pipe break commentary:

Generally a fun and cute effort for today. I like that Dez brought all the boas. That was a nice touch from Greg. A few minor thoughts, however:

1) It seems a little surprising to have the trio be outside of the building and having Les checking in folks at the entryway into the building. If I recall correctly, the prior Lingerie Party was in a specific room INSIDE The Fuse. Les seemed to do his “checking in” at the door INSIDE The Fuse previously.

2) I am not a big fan of the particular facial expression Luann has in the last panel. Greg has drawn Luann with that sort of expression once or twice before in the recent past, and to me it makes Luann look odd…. she looks to me like she is schnockered, or somewhat in a daze. I know that is not the intent Greg has… he appears to be having Luann display a pretend, “come-hither” sort of look towards Les. But, to me, I think this particular facial expression is not as successful at it as Greg has done with other facial expressions.

3) I am a little bit disappointed that Bernice did not end up going as well. I think it would have been interesting to see how her “uptight nature” would cope with the events of the Lingerie Party.

Are these girls gonna get on stage wearing lingerie and sliding the boas around with major teasing?

dear god, tell me Luann isn’t hitting on Lester the Molester..that would be a new low, even for Luann…or a new high, as in the height of stupidity

Now we find out if it’s really lingerie going on in there.

The thing I can’t understand is, how come Mr Gray, or ANYbody for that matter, doesn’t know about the “special financial terms” given to these parties.

@PIPE TOBACCO: It’s always been my impression that once Bernice says something, she sticks by it kind of stubbornly. So since she had already told Dez and Luann that she ‘had too much to do’ to go to that party, she would not see her way to abandoning that statement.

Man, I thought we’d never get to this day! So far so good……….

I tell ya, people could’ve used those boas in our area, this morning with all of the ice! For tow ropes, lassoes…and for groups to tie around their waist, when walking on the parking lot…

They know, for sure Dez, and Tara said she does not wear underwear, which is basically what lingerie is.

Is Tara doing Billy Crystal doing Fernando Lamas? She’s mahvelous, darling, simply mahvelous.

Some have wondered why Bernice did not go with them. Some have said she needs to let her hair down. It could be that if she lets go, the cork might never go back in the bottle. There was one in my high school that was like Bernice. Once she got a taste of the “wild side”, she did not want to let go of it and her grades tanked. Amongst other things…

Think back to when Bernice graduated high school – .On June 8, 2014, Bernice said she was wearing underwear that said, “Smarty Pants”. Note in that same strip, Tiffany alludes to the fact that she also does not wear underwear.

On June 14, 2014, in her valedictory speech, Bernice says “Ask the unasked, try the untried, do the undone, set your sails, cut the ropes, and take off the bands!”

In a later strip that I do not have the time to find now (any of the other historians here want to locate that one?), Bernice also states that she is (paraphrasing) “going to go to the wilder side and let loose”. Perhaps she is afraid that once she crosses the line, (in her mind) it could be her undoing.

Bold move, Luann, dressing like Ellen Degeneres.

Actually, Les’s unimpressed reaction does bring up kind of a good point. Since when does the ability to afford sexy lingerie or feather boas make one more or less a woman? Honestly, Les seems more interested in making money then the “women” at this point, and I can’t blame him for that. Unless Luann, Tara, and Dez are independently wealthy, they are going into quite a bit of debt to go to college right now to enter a shaky job market. Les is making a bit of cash to finance future opportunities, getting work experience for a resume, and staying out of debt. That’s…actually rather smart. IF he knows something shady is going on with the fuse, he may be keeping his mouth shut because he wants to keep his job. Again, actually…rather smart, and a choice unfortunately many employees face, making Les not much ethically better or worse then the rest of us.

@BRDSHTT and SCHRODINGER’S DOG: It could be exactly the case, that Bernice is afraid of what happens if she ’let’s loose’. But it seems to me that she has become more set in her ways since she left high school, rather than trying new things. As soon as she became an RA, she seems to have frozen into a ‘by-the-book’ person, with some obvious exceptions for Piro and herself. And even as she allowed latitude for Piro (letting him stay in her dorm suite overnight, for example) she seemed both to fear the consequences and worry that she would pay some kind of price for violating the rules. Sometimes the characters write the story, not the writer…

Tara performs the same routine that she last did early in the morning at Stonehenge. The holidays may be over but we still have a fruitcake or two around.

So, do they make it inside this time?

Les, tossing cold water on the “ladies” with the boas! On to the Souffle Lingerie, Dez, Tara, and Luann! The Three Musketeers of Underwear (but, beware the Cardinal’s Guards!)….
