Well, if you were watching the Rose Parade or the Rose Bowl, then you know how I was suffering, Although they are about 20 miles from my house. It could have been a couple of degrees warmer here.
From all the comments I get that if Al Gore and the rest of the climate warmers were to walk by, they would get a big ball of sno… I mean climate warming in the face. :}
Paul Harvey attributed the success of the Farmer’s Almanac to a mistake in predicting record cold temperatures in the summer of 1816. In his Rest of the Story it was a mistake, but then Mt. Tambora erupted and produced the Year Without a Summer and the legend of the Farmer’s Almanac. Believe It Or Don’t!
I checked, it just says sunny and cold, but not remarkably cold, which it is.
I like the Almanac, but I pay no attention to the weather reports. I like the folklore, odd info, and weird anniversaries. I think the quality has gone down the last few years though: they’re trying to get more trendy, which is a big mistake for this sort of publication.
In November, local tv reported that NWS predicted a ‘warmer than average winter.’ So, is the weather for these two weeks just to make what follows seem warmer?
Southern Canada and most of the United States is unusually cold for this time of year, however most of the world is unusually warm for this time of year. This is the effect of what is happening to the change in climate, and the heating of the Earth. Some areas will see colder winters, some areas will see hotter summers, and storms of all sorts will become more intense, as the world tries to adjust. If the world becomes unable to adjust sufficiently, we could become another Venus and life for humans on Earth becomes impossible.
Is AlGore holding another “Global Warming” symposium? Every time he does, we get record cold temperatures… -12F in Dayton, Ohio this morning – a new record.

Come to Flagstaff. Winter hasn’t started here… I think there has not been a high below freezing yet.
