One of the polymer clay artists I follow used enough mica powder on her pieces that she developed pneumonia, She also dry sanded her items, so polymer clay dust added to her lung problems. SHe now wears a face mask when she works on her art.
Glitter is really dangerous. As CELECCA said it can cause pneumonia. The stuff never biodegrades and fish and birds eat it with tragic results. Scientists and doctors would like to see it banned.

What are these, pre-schoolers? Only a nitwit gives glitter and scissors to pre-schoolers en masse. One on one, yes, but a classroom full?

Miss Bliss deserves what she for giving glitter to preschoolers—everyone knows the stuff is a WMD invented by Satan…

The real question is, does Miss Bliss’s insurance cover acute glitterlung?
Also, does the EPA require that glitter come with a stern health warning label?
As if we didn’t already have enough problems!
