But I would never say I want someone to leave! So please join in the conversation as much as you would like!! =)

LeslieAnne said (yesterday), “Puddleglum2…Good to see you my friend!” From Ripley’s: The Glow from the deep sea Atolla Wyvillei Jellyfish is so bright – It can be seen from 300 feet away! Apparently, I’m not that bright; I can only be seen from one or two feet away… in writing, anyway, my friend!

Linda Arney (from yesterday), “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!” You took a page from my book with your pun. It was better than some of mine, if I do say so myself. Puns are the backbone of my sense of humor, make no bones about it. I’ll be expecting some backtalk relating to my comment.

This one reminds me of the story of the town drunk sitting at the bar mooching drinks when a wise guy challenges him to drink from the spittoon for $100. The drunk begins drinking and soon wise guy gags and tells the drunk to stop. The drunk continues until the spittoon was empty and after many convulsions wise guy asked why he didn’t stop. “I couldn’t” drunk sez, “it was all one string”.

Hobbes - I rarely post here, but I never miss reading the strip. I’ve read Calvin & Hobbes long before I had any children, and my oldest son is 21. My (male) cousin told me that boys think just like Calvin. Therefore, I think I’ve been a better mom to my two sons, thanks to reading this wonderful strip. I’ve greatly enjoyed your recent comments, and would be very sad if you didn’t feel welcome here.

I agree. I didn’t like being lumped into some kind of a “hater’s club” by someone I don’t even know and who doesn’t know me. I’ll do my own talking, thank you very much! And based on the few postings I saw here by Hobbes, I can’t even figure out what he said that was so offensive to begin with. So I say, keep on posting Hobbes. You’re welcome here any time!

I don’t know how I missed Hobbes comment the first time around, but gocomics always has someone post who is unhappy with something. The majority of those that post here are very nice people and I have made a number of good friends since I first joined gocomics commenters. I haven’t seen a lot of your posts, but those I have seen make me want to see more. Do not let one comment put you off. As you can see by the support for margueritem a few days ago, and you today, the folks here a good group. As in every public forum you can expect to irritate someone once and awhile. Shrug it off and be yourself.

Linda Arney, Prestidigitation can come in hand-y. “Oh ho ho it’s magic, you know…”

If a bookworm is a speedreader, he’s not ‘sluggish’. If bookworm reads chapter by chapter, he’s more like an earthworm – segmented.
