No, you’ll be all there just in one big red wet spot. Well there might be about 30% of you spread along the course, but that will help the EMTs find you.
I watched some of the Skeleton runs last night. Some of those folks were hitting 80 miles per hour, laying face down on a very small sled that looked to be about 2" above the ice. More power to ’em, I say!
Actually, it’s not THAT much different than the sleds with steel runners that so many kids used 30 and more years ago. You could steer the sled a little with the cross bar that twisted the runners, and it was more like 4 or 5 inches above the snow, and of course the longest and steepest fairway on the local golf course converted to sledding wasn’t quite as vicious, but it was based on the same principals. I’d be more afraid to luge.

Well, don’t know about the rest of your body, but you will never experience athlete’s foot again.

If it weren’t a real Olympic event I’d say it was a Monty Python skit.

I suspect Skeleton was invented when somebody bet their friend they couldn’t go down the Luge track headfirst and he replied “hold my beer”.
