I probably should have tried the rice trick numerous times. I have a habit of keeping my phone in the back pocket of my jeans…..and sometimes forget it is there. Soooo, we go into the ladies room, unzip, and “plop”! There goes the phone, right into the potty!When I went to upgrade to a new phone, the chap said “hmmm, looks like it got wet!”. The Woman and Man need a large dog in the household to clean up after multiple cats. I have 4 cats and I swear they never throw up and rarely poop. Even though I keep the cat food on an old dresser in the living room the dog makes sure there is never any old cat food and the kitties always get fresh food. The dog is so good to the kitties that way. He gives them exercise by chasing them and is good at bathing them. When it is all said and done though the dog is a really good protector for the kitties and wouldn’t let anything happen to them, he would come get me if anything was wrong and hide behind my legs.

We have a cat with the feline equivalent of GERD. 17 years of tossing her kibble, often on the comforter. Occasionally on my shoes.

I have such a paranoia about that that I have developed the habit of standing at least 6 inches from cell-phone-trap-of-death when I’m in using the facilities.AND just for the record, you should always power off your device ASAP when wet. It is the electricity + water that causes a short.
