Sunday, it wasn’t clear, but today, it looks like another “everyone’s here, now which one done it” like the last Minute Mystery – though I suppose not much else can be done in a week!

mrichman, you asked yesterday how to open up full-size, non-fuzzy versions of user avatars. Here’s how:

In Firefox, right click on the avatar, then click on “Copy Image Location” (in Google Chrome, right click on the avatar, then click on “Copy image address”). Open a new tab in your browser and paste the url you just copied. The url will look something like this (this is mine):

At the end of the url address, delete “large_” from the address. The edited url address will then read as follows (edited part of address is bolded):

I’m enjoying John’s art more and more each day. No one can replace Joe Staton, but this is fun.

So let’s see: two with black hair, one with brown. One smoking cigarette (with holder) and one smoking pipe and one not currently smoking at all. Two with eyeglasses, one without (but only one wearing glasses). At least three wine glasses on the table, with varying levels of wine in them. And one highlighted ear on the police officer.

As odd as Tracy looks, I will admit to seeing an influence of Milton Caniff here.

Just like the real Superman, who’s love interests all had the initials “L.L.” George Reeves follows suit! WOW

No wonder Tracy is gritting his teeth like that – he’s probably gasping for air in that room filled up with so much smoke. I know i would be!

Tracy could cut glass with that chin.

Will the real original Dick Tracy please stand up!

I love the art, it reminds me a bit of Carlos Ezquerra’s work. He was one of the original artists on Judge Dredd, which was heavily influenced by Dick Tracey. I believe he still draws it occasionally.

Loving the art style this week! Lots of atmosphere and character! I was looking forward to seeing how Mr. Lucas would draw babes, and I am not disappointed. Schlock Mercenary’s Howard Tayler sometimes links to Tweets by someone (evidently a female writer of Vietnamese ancestry) who Tweets as “Pronounced Ing”. Should I see a reference to her in Mrs. Candidate?

“We believe the cause death was smoke asphyxiation.”

Is this all the suspects, or is/are more coming? Shouldn’t be hard for Tracy to crack this nut. Young, self-important, bored Lenore might have offed a disappointing older lover; bookish author Manchu Candidate might have shot Reeds in a fit of pique over something trivial (or maybe George made a a pass at Ning). Or Ning Candidate might have killed GR to protect her husband’s interests (whatever they may be). Or, all three could have conspired to get rid of a tiresome “friend”!

I guess I need Tracy’s help in developing some clues!

I hope they don’t forget Joe Mannix and his wife, George Reed’s sugar-mama, the one he dumped for Lenore Lovecraft.
