What? “Happy Father’s Day” from Young Binkley?! The kid is becoming more devious. But he still has to stick with the root beer and leave the adult beverage for Dad (though I might have got a sip as a young kid in an Italian home, of wine if not of beer). And, Young Binkley, I do see that lawn mower in the distance just waiting for someone….
One of the best Father’s Day tributes ever. Although Binkley’s overthought his future a tad. Italian Wingsuit instructor? I was sure she would have run off with his Lamborghini mechanic instead
This is an awesome post. If my dad were here today, h’d say, “You tell ’em ,Binkley!” And we’d both salute Berkly Brethed with two ice_ cold Old Style beers!

I haven’t seen Dad’s Root Beer in ages, probably not since I was a kid. Didn’t know it was still around. All I ever see these days is Barq’s and Mug.

Amazing how smart parents get between the time we’re 15 and 25 (or so). Binkley got to this stage a lot sooner.

I’d fall off of the wagon if i could just have one more beer with pop.
Preferably siting on the bank of some river or lake fishing.

Embedded advertising! I love it! I hope you got paid beaucoup bucks for your Dad’s Root Beer and Budweiser spots, Berke!
BTW, WHEN does Binkley grow up? We’ve been waiting for at least a double dozen years for those surly teen years!

Dads root beer was the best. Make a root beer float with it and you were in heaven.

I can pin-point my first sip of beer to around when I was three or four years-old because my parents got divorced when I was five.
My father was i the yard at the back of the house I grew up in shooting the breeze with some neighbor folk when I asked to try his Jax beer.
I don’t know what I was expecting but it had to be good because all the men seemed to like it.
Ack! Pffft! It weren’t no Nehi! I didn’t try beer again until I was 18.
