How can you help it when the music starts to play, and your ability to reason is swept away – oh-oh-oh, heaven on earth is all you see. You’re out of touch with reality
When my (at the time) 7 year old son heard the Mellencamp song, “Hurt so Good”, he asked me how something could hurt good. I told him, “First time you’re in love, you’ll understand.” He didn’t quite get it at the time…but then again, he also had trouble with “I was so much older then, I’m younger than that now”. I just said, “That’s just Dylan being Dylan…” Don’t mind me, I’m in stream of consciousness mode…
My theory of Schroeder is that his life breaks down into two things: (1) his music, and (2) things that interfere with his music. Category (2) breaks down further into (a) Lucy, and (b) everything else.

Just admit you can’t even follow your own line of thought and you’ll get Schroder to actually agree with you on something.

In your case, Lucy, love is not knowing when you’re through.

Schroeder is the only one who can fluster Lucy. But she is not willing to admit she has lost.

Schroeder is indifferent, which is the opposite of LOVE… not a happy thought for Lucy.
She’ll have to settle for the fact that he is not opposed to her hanging around his piano while he practices, so for her, that’s something.

He will always be one step ahead of you, Lucy.

A “love is…” panel this will not make. (https://loveiscomix.com/)

… especially when what you’re talking about has nothing to do with love…

Love is blindness
I don’t want to see
Won’t you wrap the night
Around me?
Oh my heart
Love is blindness
