Actually, I’m a bit surprised that The People can tolerate something that cuckoos every hour, never mind the cats.

The bird could escape at any moment!

Um, I think animatronic is more likely, Puck. Always think of robots and automatons as being the same thing and animatronics as being a step down.

A chart! A very palpable chart!

And now it occurs to me. If mailmen really exist, are they automatons?

Even Elvis appears nervous about the heck-bent automaton. Listen to Burt and Puck. They know what they’re talking about.

Jimmy set Megan back down on the floor. ”Just keep up the good work, girls. Wait, your friend is a girl, right? Well, lemme check.’ And so Jimmy, just like that, walked around behind Tre-C and checked out her… well, her behind. “Yep, you’re a lady too…” Tre-C tuned to Megan and meowed for about five or six seconds. At least, that’s what Jimmy heard. To Megan, it was; “ A male usually has to get me dinner before I let him do that “;Jimmy went on;”You know, there actually used to be a mouse problem here before ol’ Megan took over.. Haven’t seen one in months, now.” Then Jimmy turned toward the front of the store and marched off to flip over the “open” sign and unlock the door for business. Megan and Tre-C walked off to the storeroom for some well-earned sleep. And sleep they did- Megan on her favorite spot on the old sofa, Tre-C at the top of a file cabinet, And they slept for two whole hours, when suddenly Megan awakened with a start. She stood up and stretched her neck left and right, looking and listening. Then she jumped off the sofa, turned to Tre-C and said; “Kitten…where’s Hector?’

The description of that cuckoo reminds me of my ex-husband…only he’d give a warning burp every half hour.

No matter what, the cats are so darn cute and now they have another thing to think about in their lives. They have full lives, the People, the Vacuum, etc., for distractions. I love this strip.

If it tries to kill an entire dinosaur just to get the pineal gland because “We did not have the parts”, the boys will really have to worry.

Shaunmunn – you helped make my heart hurt less, way back when. And that was even before you knew of my existence! You are a unique, healing individual. You see others hurt, and strive to help them feel as you know, in your blessed heart, they should feel. You know hurt in your life, in many forms. Some become bitter from that. For you, this only served to nurture your gift for compassion. Works that way for some, those with the wisdom to grow.

Shaunnmunn, I wish I could help. I am in the Milwaukee area. If, by ANY chance, there’s some way reach you, and I can help you by doing so, PLEASE let me know! Yes, my life is full. But, my children learn – it is up to US, to MAKE of our world, the world we wish to live in. You have found a way to touch, and to HELP, SO MANY. I would find a way. I promise. There aren’t enough people with the strength, still, to reach a helping hand to others. When needed, we need to hold the hands, of those who do!
