Over Megan’s shoulder came a huge, tricolored forearm and paw. It smacked the electronic device with such force that it slid across the dance floor and broke into pieces against the wall. Megan sighed deeply in relief, then looked behind her to see the smiling figure of Maxie, the “greeter” that Megan had met prior to entering the club. “Eh, I never cared for this clown, anyway. Knew something shady was going on…” Mr. Nibbles, meantime, had slowly backed closer to the tree on the main dance floor. “Nibbles! Freeze where you are!” “First, I’m going to to be leaving, now. You can’t stop me. Second, you’ve made powerful enemy today, Megan Katz. Remember that. We will meet again.” Tre-C looked straight at Mr. Nibbles; “Yeah, yeah, we know… ‘keep looking over your shoulder, yadda yadda’. What else, Nibbles?” Mr. Nibbles was now beside himself; “STOP CALLING ME THAT! I HATE that name!” And with that, the cat formerly known as Mr. Nibbles jumped through the open trap door in the dance floor and outside into the night.
MAY be on the way???! It IS on the way! CN and GN stations shall save the day! Gotta love Tillie’s zest and gusto as she soars up above the little parapet. And boy does Carl have a juicy story to sink his claws into! Even Tabitha is left in wonder! Sit tight Pucky, help is on the way!
Tillie has alerted the cats, annoyed Tabitha and given a tip to Carl the Reporter. No wonder she did a loopty-loop over the roof. I lover her Super Girl pose when she is flying. But who is that cat in the window in the third panel? Is it Carl or another spectral cat? Finally, Pucky is looking hopeful that rescue is on the way.
Good morning and happy Thursday/Purrsday, orbsters and orbabies!
I see that Tillie is overjoyed that the boys seem to have got the message, Tabitha is still aggravated, Carl is awake and there is a cat yet to be identified in the window. I’m wondering how Elvis and Lupin will get into the attic. It would seem to me that the best way would be to throw conniption fits and the Woman and Man.
I am beginning to wonder about how many attics there are in the Big Pink House and how Elvis and Lupin will find Puck since the only clue they have is the word ATTIC. Tillie could have been more specific or at least said more to them when she popped back thru the ceiling yesterday. I fear her “MAY be coming” will be true for at least several more days. Oh the suspense!
Pucky must be a mouse whisperer. Buzzy Mouse is his constant companion, then he made friends with the 4 girls and now Agatha. I’m wondering if the mysterious ghost in the window is friendly or maybe not so friendly? Will it try to put a kibosh on any rescue efforts? Thank goodness there’s a strip tomorrow and we don’t have to wait until Monday!!!!
Hi all, I need some bumps & boops & purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrz today. For a couple of weeks I’ve been having trouble seeing out of my left eye & yesterday the eye doc said I have a swollen optic nerve. May or may not be related to my diabetes (which has been pretty well controlled lately; blood work yesterday was normal). Off to fight morning rush hour & see a retina specialist. Love you all! =^..^=
Good morning all you cats and kittens and all the ship cats at sea! Ace BCN reporter, Carl here! And boy, what a scoop I got for ya folks! Seems a current, BCN reporter has gotten into a real pickle and we ain’t talkin’ peppers!
I always thought our female cat was laid back and easy going. Then one night I was walking her when a friendly stray feline strolled towards us. Our little alpha female puffed up to double her size and let loose a stream of feline profanities within seconds. Oops. At least she let me pick her up and scoot back to the house.
“Look alive, Carl”. A little ghost humor there. I guess it’s OK, since Tillie is also a ghost. Otherwise it could be considered spectrally insensitive.
Thanks everyone for all the bumps and bops for Jasper. For those who asked he is a Great Dane. He is on heavy pain meds and has now moved back to my bed YAY. He had a heavy wrapping on his leg but I had to cut it off because of bad swelling. For now he is being tended to by the Weim and all 4 cats and me so he is in good hands. The X-rays are a little inconclusive and until the swelling goes down the there is no point in taking him to the specialist. The good news is that he can at least get himself outside to potty and back inside now. Under close supervision of course. No loss of appetite but a little less water because he knows water means potty. I went to the pain doc yesterday so I am better and I go back next week so no more looking at my shoes all day.
There is much speculation about the cat in the window. As mentioned it could be Carl’s military friend from the pic in the original Halloween special, but the impression I’m getting from Georgia’s drawing is that it is a female (maybe the slanted eye?) and maybe a pillbox hat. I look forward to finding out!

I might have missed something….have we met Carl in a previous storyline? Or is he a new character?

Is Tillie spelling out ‘help’ like a spectral skywriter? Cool!

Carl looks rather confused about how he can look alive when he is a non-corporeal entity.

Is that Tabitha’s paw or her tail?

Is that a ghostly, old timey camera with flash attachment on the shelf next to Carl?
I have a feeling Tillie would be a gold medalist in the early morning running of the cats. She must have been a kitty gymnast when she was alive.

Is Tillie related to Tommy in some way? I swear she’s always got such a big grin on her face! Makes me smile too. :D

For the last week I’ve had a vision of Puck as a ghost. Makes me sad (although I think he’d be a happy ghost) but I’m feeling a bit optimistic now.

About the cat in panel 3—any chance it’s the Scottish Fold that got a cameo appearance in the original Hallowe’en special?
