Is that Angus as a kitten? He seems to have the same permanently stuck-out tongue that Baby Elvis did!

We should all look at this today. It would really help Georgia if everyone who looks at this comic has a profile with GoComics. https://www.facebook.com/GeorgiaDunnStudio/posts/2127388657306543?tn=K-R

BCN is at 9,953 followers. We are almost to 10,000. I would guess that most of the people reading the comments have already followed the comic, but if you haven’t click the follow button above and help BCN get to 10,000.

Is Georgia Dunn a descendant of Freddie? Her name is on the cover of the photo album!

Greetings fellow orbsters. Can you purr for my Jasper? He is two years old and something has happened to him. He’s limping badly and won’t let me get near him. He spent almost all day hiding various places outside. Finally, he came in this evening, he’s eating and drinking, but wouldn’t let me get close. Ssss! I believe his leg is either broken or a bad sprain, and I’m guessing he fell out of a tree. I’m going to take him to the vet first thing in the morning.

Well, so much for that idea about Angus being the black guys cat. Unless, that is, Freddie gave him to the man because he was Angus’ forever home.

When Saturday’s strip posts before Friday’s baseball game is over.

I believe the cat in the upper right corner of the last panel is the sea captain Georgia mentioned yesterday. Here’s a link to a picture of his real life counterpart, with some random seven-year-old and his siblings (to include his brother by another mother):

Freddie was and still is a “good ’un” watching over her furbabies. The pictures in the last panel are so exquisitely drawn.

Squee, baby Angus! And a hint that the ghosts can influence what age they materialize as, since Jane doesn’t seem to need her glasses now.

…Can we view this as evidence that the military cat and announcer cat in a captain’s hat are the same kitty? Unless Georgia’s confirmed it one way or the other elsewhere, Life isn’t letting me keep up with stuff as much as I’d like.

Hope we see more of the photo album…maybe the People could donate it to the local library archives to join the photos we saw in the 2015 special. Attics can be easier on paper ephemera than basements, but the climate control at the library would be better for preservation.

As promised from yesterday, a very recent story of why I believe in ghost cats. 6 years ago our beloved cats, brother and sister Tiger (who is my avatar) and Sundae, passed away after 17 wonderful years with us. Many times I have felt their presence, especially when one of us is ill or dealing with a stressful situation.

Late in the evening this past Monday, my 96 year old mother in law in assisted living went to emergency and my wife went with her. I left work, and stayed home to take care of our kitties, Lucky (who could be Puck’s cousin), and Missy, who is a special needs baby girl. At 2:30 AM, Terri called to say she was coming home from the hospital. We live in a corner house, and the kitchen bay window faces the road leading into our neighborhood. I sat in a chair by the window and rested my chin on the window base, keeping an eye out for her so I could unlock the doors. Lucky and Missy curled up on a rug on the floor behind me, and 20 minutes later, I saw her car’s headlights and unlocked the door.

Terri was saying how she could see Lucky and Missy standing up in the bay window in front of me as she drove up to the house – except that they were still curled up on the floor when she pulled in the driveway. The only explanation was that Tiger and Sundae had manifested for her. This has happened before, and we always find it comforting to know that they are with us, and always watching over us.

    I am angry.

I have a client that has strength issues.

OHSU and a Neurosurgeon are trying to figure out why.

He falls. He falls a lot.

He needs help when he falls, he can’t get up.

Like i said, he falls a lot.

The local Fire Chief came to his house and told him the they will no longer respond to calls to his home.

I’m pissed. My boss is pissed.

She called all four major TV News outlets on the Portland/Vancouver metro area.

I don’t care if he falls a dozen tomes a day, for the Fire Department to refuse to come to his home is criminal.

    I am very angry.

Continuing the conversation about cats stuck in places…this morning as usual I got underwear out of my chest of drawers on the way to the shower. When I returned for a sweater, the underwear drawer was open. I thought, how odd, I am sure I closed it, so I pushed it shut but felt a soft obstruction. Hm, socks wedged in back…or, cat? I reached in, pushed all socks down, no cat, closed drawer but heard a muffled ‘mpfhhh’. Opened the sweater drawer and there he was…black kitty up to tricks. Good thing I heard him and was also after a sweater. Don’t want to think of what he might have done to a drawer full of sweaters!

Also continuing the conversation about candy corn from a few weeks back….for all you candy corn fans, the Washington Post has a review of all the new flavors of candy corn this year as well as other candies now in candy corn flavor (whatever that is!).

While I don’t know enough about the rest of the ghost crew, I have decided to D&Dize Tilly. I see her as an Inquisitive Rogue. I figure that’s a good class for investigative reporters, detectives and spies.

My boys are staring at me in confusion as I am up very early for a Saturday so I’m trying to gently explain that I’m going to a conference out of town and “Grandpa” is looking after them for 5 days – they are NOT amused about being sat on :)

I have a ghost cat story of my own, to tell. About 30 years ago, I was working at a warehouse, in the Bronx NY, when I felt something bump, then brush against my leg. I looked down but did not see anything, even looking under the very long table, where I was stuffing envelopes. Nothing was there. That feeling was strange, because it reminded me of how my nearly 13 year old and very sweet cat, Skinney, would brush against my leg. When I got home I found out the horrible news, Skinney had gotten hit by a car and was gone. We were trying to keep him inside, but he somehow got out. It dawned on me that maybe it was him I felt, but did not see. Later that night, after I buried him under his favorite climbing tree, I tried to cheer up my two dogs(who loved him too!) by playing fetch with them. Suddenly, they both stopped cold, then looked toward the deck of our house. I looked too and saw the smokey shadow of a cat looking into the kitchen window…I called out, thinking it was, Tobey (Skinney’s sister) but the shadow kept looking into the window. I got a little closer and realized that I could see through the shadow! It then turned toward me, jumped down and stood on the deck facing me. Slowly, it turned back toward the house and disappeared. You don’t have to believe my story, but I know that was my sweet boy telling me, good bye.

Please keep your little purr-bundle indoors. Unless you live in the middle of Nebraska, it is do dangerous for cats outdoors. I hope that he gets well soon.

I went back the beginning of October because I wanted to check for Tillie’s reaction when she found Puck trapped in the trunk, and I discovered an Easter egg I’d totally forgotten about. Before Puck entered the open door, The Woman and Man were discussing the mysterious rattling of the cookie jar lid. Freddie was there before this all started!

Greetings, beautiful BCN devotees! Long-time lurker; first-time poster. There isn’t enough space to describe all the flavors of love I feel for this strip. This whole world feels like a dumpster fire, and I come here to see Puck’s heart in full bloom; Lupin gearing up for any adventure; and Elvis trying to hide the fact that he’s NOT actually the world’s crabbiest cat. (“I’ve been nominated?”) I hope this post goes up smoothly—I do so want to be an Orbster.

Our Inky had similar symptoms one time. We could not pick him up and had to resort to tossing a blanket over him to transport him. It ended up that he got a hawthorn thorn, more of a spike, embedded in the lame leg. The vet was able to remove it, and after antibiotics and rest, he came back to accept us, and our help. He lived another 14 years, so I would rate his recovery as successful.
