Look, I can quite understand where these kids are coming from having sat through MORE than My share of boring lectures. High School Geography comes to mind. And the only time THAT got interesting (at least to Me) was when the teacher started talking about the mysterious Piri Reis map.

But SOMEBODY here, needs to start paying attention. Because usually the more “Boring” Lecture, the more likely there’ll be a Quiz on it later……,

Hope they pass the class. Seems they shouldn’t be in the same class. Although their text messages are entertaining, at least WE don’t have to pass the class – they do.

These are the kinds of comments I’d expect from middle school kids…

These two are madly in “like” with each other. Interesting to see where this leads; my experience has been that the more desperate I was for a relationship, the less I found one, and the reverse was also true…

Better start taking some notes…on the LECTURE that you’re paying for! That’s why you’re sitting at the front of the class, right? Oops!

We’re beginning to see why Luann’s in her fifth year at this place and still no closer to transferring to a University than she was when she first enrolled…

Still, at least she’s interacting with this guy as an equal instead of merely obsessing about him all the time like she did with all the other Love Interests. We’re well rid of Aaron Hill (and all the thinly-veiled versions of him who popped up over the years.) At least that’s some legitimate character growth from Luann.

I see… two phones being confiscated publicly… two very embarrassed college students. All this in… 5… 4… 3…

This is Luann folks, relationship takes a lot of time to set up, but IMHO we are being set up for a really serious relationship between Jack, and Luann. He has everything she likes, he cares for her, pays attention to her, has muscles, is caring, funny (that is very important) obviously likes her, and she is not quite, but should soon be (in Luannverse terms) ready to jump into a relationship. After Quill she might be not ready for a rebound, but I think she is now. I for one am glad.

I’m kind of stunned by the simultaneous abundance of grossness in a single classroom. Nose-picking. Butt crack. Stain on the seat of the pants. Open fly. TP on shoe. One classroom.

And getting caught texting instead of listening to the teacher!

Texting is a great way to be thrown out of a college class. Many professors have a zero tolerance policy.

Tara must be in class or their focus would be on her and why the Third Musketeer is AWOL. But, if she is in class, why isn’t she involved in the ibanter?

I think this episode Greg is showing that Jack and Luann are totally focused on each other. Are the puppies out of the love kennel? Will this puppy love stage blossom? {How’s that for a mixed metaphor?? :o) }

More of the texting “foreplay” going on between Luann and Jack. Overall funny, cute, and probably realistic (I shudder to think of what the texts my students may send about me and my furry, curmudgeonly countenance.)

Sheriff may have made an error today…. the professor seems to be the same one as we saw yesterday if we take his manner of dress into account. However, his hand has a distinctly different skin tone that the fellow had yesterday.

At least they’re paying attention to the important stuff!

The best ideas is to pay attention to the professor to get your money’s worth.

Sooner or later he will probably pick up the old one by mistake! Keep an eye on the old one and the new one.

[50 minutes later: the fish-head picks the old one up by mistake, starts a sip, his eyes bug out, but he just raises a finger and walks out of class, and walks back in less than a minute later.]

The behavior displayed by Luann and Jack gets students ejected from my classroom. A laser pointer is a great way to get their attention seconds before they are asked to leave. It only happens once in a semester. After that – there are no more problems.

Yo ho ho! Luann and Jack are gonna get busted for texting all through class! (I hope.)
