I drew lines around the world once. It was in elementary school and we had to draw the Equator and the International Date Line. The latter made no real sense to me because it wasn’t straight around like the Equator. (It was understandably confusing, I was in only the 3rd grade, maybe 4th.)
For some reason, this reminds me of my grandpa’s friend who would visit for days on end, spending the night drinking at all hours. One time while sitting at the kitchen table he was commenting about the possibility of a woman President. This is his quote as I remember it:
They say you can’t put a woman in the house. You can’t put a woman in the house. I say, “PUT A WOMAN IN THE HOUSE!” Maybe she’ll clean the d@[] thing!
