Gunther gave her a ride home. Guess he had to take his ’58 Edsel Ranger station wagon out on a rare outing.

Ugh, Les. I’d choose the nerdy Gunther over YOU. He has a lot to offer, is intelligent, has lots of talent, is a good conversationalist while you are batting zero in any of those but batting plenty in the art of sleaze. You will only attract women who find sleaze attractive because they are like you themselves. You think Gunther could learn from you in the art of love when in actuality it is you who have a lot to learn from Gunther but I am afraid you have no interest which is too bad.

Less is more once again. And good call on those pajamas! And don’t get me started on the Spock ears he also has. Gunthy is a total dweeb! He needs to boldly go were he has never gone before: to dinner, on a real date.

The problem with these two is that one is sex-obsessed and the other is not. You guess who is who. :D

Les seems unaware that Patrick Stewart was chosen the “Sexiest Man of the Year” by Glamour magazine.

You know you have reached a low point when Leslie starts giving you advice on how to improve yourself.

Somebody did guess that Luann’s car wouldn’t start. But what was the Bang Thud going on.

Note that Les has placed his hand on Gunther’s shoulder in a friendly way and is offering him advice. You may doubt the quality of that advice, but it seems like he is acting like a friend. This is a big step for Les.

Of course we could have a real surprise: Les gives his brotherly advice to Gunther and then retires to his own room. Then Luann walks out of Gunther’s closet – totally naked.

How do we know Luann is not in the closest or behind some moved furniture? Lots of noise is not explained by flossing. Simply because she is not seen does not mean she is not there still. On the other hand so might have to stay overnight, or at least until they are sure Les is sound asleep.

Why doesn’t Gunther go to a Star Trek or Comicon – type convention? His nerdy passions and costume-making skills would be appreciated there… and he might just find a young woman who shares his interests!

Someday, Gunther’s gonna give ol’ Les a really good smack. Or Luann will… :)

Left to his own initiative, Gunther probably couldn’t get any “hot action” in a women’s prison holding a hand full of pardons.

I knew Gunther does not lie. He was telling the truth.

Les, admit it, you’re jealous because Gunther has 3 women interested in him because he respects them as women. But he learned from ann to believe the only way to get what you want is to use people.

“Whatev?” I don’t normally condone violence, but I hope one day Gunther gets to punch this guy’s lights out.

Jeeze. What “right” does Les have to “Demand” to know what’s going on in Gunny’s room anyway? Bad enough that Gunny is living with a pushy, bullying sexist, thug that thinks he’s God’s gift to all women. But now Gunny has to submit to guestioning every time a young woman comes over to see him? H3LL, he was better off when he was living with Irma. At least she served tea and cookies. Trilogy was right yesterday. It’s past time somebody went all “medieval” upside Les’ head.

By the way. That noise? Gunny is hiding something or someone. Either Gunny has learned to “Lie” (Which for Him would be a MAJOR step forward) and Luann is still there, or someone else is there, either hiding in the closet or under the bed. Who could it be?

1) “Bets?” 50% chance.

2) Liz? 20% chance.

3) Vixen? 10% chance she met Gunny and FORCED him to bring her to his place.

4) Tiffany? 15% chance although though it’s doubtful she’d keep quiet long enough to STAY hidden.

5) Bernice? 5% chance and if so, I take it all back. Gunther WOULD do well to listen to Leslie’s “dating tips” if he’s with Bernice.

6) Rosa? 0% chance and get real……, ;)

And there’s nothing to see under the bed, either!

Just going to throw this out there. Could Gunther be on the spectrum?

So, where is Luann hiding? How will she return home, and how will the car get back? Is Les only pretending to be convinced before he makes his next despicable move?

Hate to say this, but Les has a point on this one…

And, how much “hot action” have you experienced, Mr. Knox? “Enquiring minds want to know.”

Awhile back, Les hit on Rosa, prompting Gunther to be more assertive in dating her himself. Les helped Gunther out unintentionally. (something like that if I remember correctly)…..

And so we have no fuel – no fire. No fire – no fun. Is that it?

Something happened in the Gulag on 2/16 before Les arrived home that changes the narrative. Can’t wait to see how this tryst evolves.

Yeah, about what I expected. Of course, Luann could be hiding in the closet, but that’s doubtful given this strip’s totally realistic depiction of youthful sexual relationships.

Sadly, Les has a point. Though “Devil’s Due” is one of my favorite TNG episodes where the script was re-hashed from the aborted Star Trek: Phase II. Thank goodness for the late-80s writers’ strike.

Sure, Star Trek is a turn off to most women, but let’s focus on that female dress-like outfit he calls pajamas.

Les is such a scumbag. Is this guy going to look and act like a 2yo forever?

So what was all the bumping and scraping in Gunther’s room? Not flossing, unless he is the world’s noisiest flosser.

So what was the deal with all the suspicious noises and furniture banging the other day?

From today, my question is: ‘TNG-R’?! … Just what does the ’R’ stand for?!

Hmm. Seems unlikely there would be all that previous noise if Gunther were just looking at his PJs.

But…. it also seems unlikely that Les would take an empty room and PJs on the bed as a legitimate thing to see with all the noise that transpired as well.

So, if someone (Luann, most likely) is hiding somewhere in there or in the vacinity…. to what end? It does not really appear like Gunther were engaged in anything “romantic” oriented as Gunther looks as neat and buttoned up as he typically does.

If they really did not do much if anything… WHY HIDE? WHY make an excuse about Luann’s car? It seems too silly for Gunther and Luann to lie about them hanging out (especially with no apparent romance).

Something else must be afoot. But, who knows what the hell that could be?

He’s got no room for his momma’s credenza, but he’s storing TNG cosplay? Loser! (Hey Gunth, you want to buy my Enterprise D model? It lights up and goes to warp!)

So why is Gunther such an angry young man?

Was Gunther:A) Having some alone time with Luann and she is hiding so Les can’t needle them?Or B) Was he trying on his space jammies and sending pics to the chick who shares an interest in Star Trek?

Note to G&K: I’d rather see natural relationship progressions that these cheap teasers. Look how much Luann and Jack have progressed since art class. Similarly Gunther and Tiffany; though they seem to be up and down right now but that’s pretty normal. And look at the good job you did with Brad and Toni Daytona.

So, what was all the commotion?

No action? I am rather disappointed. I was hoping that finally both of them would “do it”.

Hmm… I now feel better in terms of understanding. I have seen the term “cosplay” bandied about a lot over the years, and had “sort of” understood it, and “sort of” felt it was some some kind of mash up of “costume play”…. and my presumption was that it was a slang expression of some sort.

So… to understand better, I looked up the word and see I was correct in terms of its meaning, but interestingly I find that it is identified as having originated in the 1990s. So, while it is still a relatively young word, it has been around longer than I knew. Most likely it was initially more of a jargon word for “insiders” in the hobby…. and more recently became used somewhat more commonly by the general public. For me, I think I first heard the term perhaps 5 years ago.

Pajamas are a set of a thin shirt and pants – that is more like a lightweight short robe

Interesting how people can quote Star Trek as though it was some sort of scripture. Not saying its bad or good, just interesting. Kind of like Charlie Chan used to quote Confucius in those B & W detective movies. The only thing I remember is Marina Sirtis as Troi. Very hot chick.

Gunther needs Rosa to come back into his life.

Must say, I’m disappointed in him.

So, what was all the noise about earlier? Or do I even want to know?

the issue of the banging and scraping noises is still puzzling. The only thing I can think of is that he was moving furniture around or opening and closing the window.

That’s a great pajamas! I like it (and probably Bets too like it).

Doesn’t look like nothing happened but another miss by Gunther. A woman sitting on his bed next to him. And not even a peck on the lips? Wow, that’s gotta be and all time low for him. Most guys dream of a chance like that. She was dressed to kill as well. Incredible. Maybe he should’ve went after that Star Trek crazed blind date. Normal women are out of his league/universe for that matter.

I should probably be really embarrassed that I know exactly what Gunther is talking about. In Devil’s Due con artist Arda is pretending to be the devil of planet Ventax 2. She appears to Picard in his bedroom and tries to seduce him. Thus the pajamas. When she fails, she transports him, pajamas and all, down to the planet.

Les sees women as objects, meant to only to serve his sex drive. That’s why he will ultimately die a money, frustrated old man.

Possible that G & K will jump arcs here. We’ll know in about an hour.

Last thought: Uncle Al got this place built in no time, but Brad and crew have been working on their project for 2 or 3 years now.

Still do not know why all the noise, still a chance for Luann to come out of the closet wrapped in a blanket.
