Incidentally, I have a bath mat that’s still fairly new. Ever since it first appeared, Blossom has taken to flopping on it and doing her roly-poly rubbyface routine. It’s not as fluffy as the boys’ new bath mat, but apparently it’s quite comfy!
I absolutely LOVE Lupin’s hiding on the tub (panels 2, 4 & 7). He’s a total stitch! His grin just makes me giggle and laugh. And Elvis’ tail coming through the thick plush mat is also cool (panels 2 & 4).
Friday was feeding day and she swallowed her mouse faster than I’ve ever seen her eat before. The temps have been getting over 100F around here so I turned on her air conditioner. Yes, I have a snake with her own air conditioner in her own private room. I keep it set on 75F in the summer. She has her heat pad on one end of her box and her water bowl/pool on the other end. She usually stays out of the water though. When I first opened her box I didn’t see her. She was hiding under the bedding against one of the long walls of her box. I knew she couldn’t get out (unlike Reboot keeps doing) even if the lid is unlocked because the lid is much too heavy. When I picked her up she immediately coiled around my arm and I had to unwind her to get her in her feeding bin. Sometimes I wonder if she could handle an unstunned mouse. I don’t think I’m going to try it unless things get desperate, which they aren’t.
Meanwhile, unless the front door is kept locked, Reboot has learned how to open both the wooden front door and the storm door to make his escape. I suspect that he is going to learn to talk before too much longer. It won’t surprise me at all. He already responds to things I say. We shall see. At least he stays out of Pandora’s room.
I have had migraines since childhood. One day my mother went to some work meeting with a colleague and they had shared a ride to save gas. When they came home, the coworker asked to use the bathroom, went in, came out, and told my mother, “There’s a kid asleep on your bathmat.” I had gone into the bathroom, puked from the migraine, and then fallen asleep on the bathmat because I was too wiped out to make my way back to bed.
Hey Georgia, this was Bing’s photo of the day. I didn’t know if you knew about Gnomesvillein Ferguson Valley, Australia. here’s the website link: https://www.dardanup.wa.gov.au/our-shire/tourism/gnomesville/ Robin have you ever visited this cute village?
Dear Mega-Orb, they say it never rains but it pours…not one but TWO pieces of distressing news from friends & neighbors yesterday…asking for all the prayers, good vibes, (((((HUGGZ))))), boops, headbonks, =purrrrrrrrrrz=, yips, chirps, & other good stuffs you all can muster…
(1) My 20yo neighbor who had major surgery on Tuesday had to be rushed back to the hospital with a high fever & abdominal swelling yesterday afternoon. She needed 5 units of blood & is in the ICU on blockbuster antibiotics. Doctors suspect a possible nicked bowel, which would mean more surgery to find & fix the problem. Needless to say, her roommate is freaking out…
(2) Another neighbor, who’s been sick for quite a while but had refused to see a doctor about it, is in the hospital with tumors all through her body. She’s lost 80 lbs. & has an MRI scheduled for tomorrow to see if the cancer has spread to her brain. Her daughter is 19 & has just finished her freshman year at college….
All 4 of these women have been family-by-choice to PJ & me – for 10 years in the second case. I’m nowhere near ready for another loss, & neither are they. Mega-thanks to all for your support!
I recently purchased a new, fluffier bath mat, but had to move the old one to my closet for continued attacks by Treble, my feisty grey boy. Neither of my boys seem to care about the new one!

Burt, you’d better mute Elvis’ microphone quick – screaming into a microphone is not a pretty sound!
