I think an apology to Roscoe is in order, Opal.

Roscoe made me do it!

Quick, give Muffin a Nair bath!

Sorry Muffin you are caught red-pawed.

But he’ll never look guilty, like a dog would.

NOW maybe she’ll remove the dish towel.

Muffin, you really blew it this time, getting caught in the act!

Well, the cat is out of the bag. But will Opal be woman enough to apologize to poor Roscoe?

Time for… the Cone Of Shame! Muffin needs to look like a lamp for a few days.

Muffin: “It wasn’t me”!

Roscoe says “Thank-You” Earl ! Opal now apologize to Roscoe .

It’s about time that bad old puddy tat got caught.

Aaaah HA! Now your goose is cooked! MEOOOOOW

Finally! Phew!

Opal’s dinner tonight…a big heaping serving of crow!

I certainly hope Opal apologizes profusely to Roscoe. And I don’t think it’s possible to shame a cat..at least not without retribution.

Now, before we go and start pointing fingers, let’s not jump to conclusions…

I thought this was going to end with Earl getting blamed.

If Muffin lived at my house… she wouldn’t anymore.

Muffin is like a certain President we know.

Major tactical error by Muffin, getting caught…and doing this while Roscoe was outside. The trick now is to convince Earl and Opal that you are somehow cleaning up Roscoe’s mess.

“But it can’t be Muffin, Muffin is perfect!”

Now, Opal, how will you punish that evil cat? And how will you make it up to poor Roscoe?

As much as I like Opal I have to say that she doesn’t have the skills to be a good investigator….after she put the dog outside, what would be the logical conclusion after a repeat fridge raid??? I guess she just loves the cat too much :)

I can both confirm nor deny your conclusions. Now take that fur ball puker to the vet for neutering, removal of all claws, and permanent insertion of a bell.

Finally the real culprit is uncovered. Now go apologize with some hugs, kisses and treats along with I’m sorry….

Now, Opal, you march yourself right out there, bring that dog inside, apologize to him with many head rubs and treats and NEVER blame that on him again. I said NOW!!@@

We used to have a cat that would get on the table or cabinet and eat a hole in the bread sack. I would grab him up and throw him out the door as far as I could throw him. He would be back in the house the next time the door was opened. My wife went to shove him off the table with a broom and caught him with more of the handle than the broom. He went out the door and never came back in. There hasn’t been a cat in our house for over 25 years. I decided she was the better cat trainer.

You had to know it was the cat! Don’t they get into everything?

Well, that was quicker than I thought it would be. I’ve always been bemused by the common idea that cats are extremely graceful but the actuality that they dump things over pretty much every time there’s a chance.

Finally! I hope she apologizes to Roscoe!
