Sunday Funday!!!! Ok, the Mega-Orb gives so much, I’d like to give back to the Orb, but of course, I can’t do it alone. Since soon we will no longer need a spoiler zone, I think if we had a designated spot each week for folks to share something fun, great news, a funny story, a joke, anything. This is not to prescribe that this is the only place or time to do it, if you have great news or something to share at anytime, by all means DO so!

Research has shown that if you regulary journal about what makes you happy, or what you’re grateful for, these things tend to increase in your life. Part of that is that when you look for it, you see it, it registers more deeply, and if you share it, it enlivens us all!!! I look forward to our Mega-Orb community everyday, but I would love to have a place I could go to look for a bunch of uplifting, funny, happy news.

Folks seemed to like the idea so lets keep trying!! Just like the spoiler zone, whoever thinks of it first on a Sunday should start it, even if you don’t have something to share!!!

On an I guess appropriately "Grouch"ier note, shame about the giant logo. It’s very cute, but I’d rather see the actual strip in a larger size than have the logo take up a quarter of the space. Hope this doesn’t become the new standard. (Hint, hint, GoComics…)

I use “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” since I live in San Francisco now.

It’s kind of cool to be outside tonight looking at the moon. Just as we were all out that evening of 7/20/1969. Hard to believe 50 years have passed! I turned 14 that summer and it was one of the best in my life. Good times…

BIL’s BBQ was a great success yesterday, The band was great, the food was tasty and abundant (devilled eggs were the first to disappear) – SIL and BIL won’t have to cook for at least a week. A good time was had by all.

It’s the June— July Bug! I was afraid he was going to skip this year.

I’ve only seen one June bug this summer, and he was indeed a July bug, appearing a couple of weeks ago. As opposed to a few years ago, when partner’s back yard, and only the back yard, in a well-delineated area, was suddenly inundated with literally thousands of newly hatched July bugs. The frenzy only lasted a few hours before most took off, but it was fascinating to watch. And a bit creepy!

I was just wondering the other day when the July bug would make his appearance! My husband saw a toad on our porch one night hunting the June (July) bugs.

Was wondering when Jules would show up this year, given that his third appearance before isn’t getting a full newspaper run! Glad as I am to see Goldie showing up, I doubt even this proudly reckless barnstormer is going to be out in the kind of weather the weekday news is showing.
