Bernice is suggesting a roommate, but what I wanted to know what Bets plan was? We need a good cockamamie plan.

The other possibility might be an unexpected solution like, “You know, Bernice. I just remembered my dad used to keep an apartment on the side for his mistresses. Now that Ann Eiffel is living with my dad, I could stay at that apartment for free. I have the spare key. Why didn’t I think of that before?”

I got a chuckle from Tiffany’s “he” but it also reminded me of when Little Miss RA here had a guy sleep over. Get that judgmental look off your face, Bernice: at least Tiffany isn’t such a basket case that she’ll put on 3 layers of clothes and grab a baseball bat just to go into her living room while a guy’s sleeping on the sofa.

Tiff – For $90 a night, the sofa isn’t a la carte.

Bernice has a good plan. But boy crazy Tiff wants a man for a roommate.

But of course. Tiff said “he” because she knew she would say “MEOW” and then “YOWL” to the female and scratch her into shreds. As for the sofa. she just might get away with it. The Dorm Life does not need to know she has a guy in her room sleeping on the sofa he is renting….if Bernice agrees to keep her trap shut. But if GnK wants realism (as they rarely do), Bernice is likely to clarify that, no she is not talking about her keeping the exclusive room, and yes, she needs to move into a roommate room because the exclusive room is not a roommate room and student renting a space to another in a dorm room is illegal.

She wants a man to sleep with, and i’m not talking solely about sex. She’s lonely and the only man she’s been even remotely interested in; is the only man who has truly opened his arms, his mind and his heart to her: gunther

$90 a night? Good luck with that.

The only way she would get $90 a night for that sofa is if she were to remain on it while it is rented.

Tiffany is the perfect person to help Bernice to develop the indispensable patience that, as a psychologist, she will needs with her patients. I really hope she will be able to help Tiffany and make her understand that she has to change rooms.

Saw an ad on another site for 1 bedroom rental with a ton of rules. $1500 a month. Some people are real life Tiffs.

“He,” uh? Well, that’s Tiff. A guy to her, is a manageable and controllable commodity. Like the time Tiff once said that she could “Handle Bad Boys.” Just like she once said that she could “control” Les. Need Help? Call Gunther. Need furniture moved? Call Ox and the football team. Need a flunky? Call Les. The only “guy” she can’t control is her dad.

But I digress. It ain’t likely that Mooney will “allow” Co-ed cohabitation. Especially not with R.A. Bernice on the loose. (Never mind what SHE, herself, once did).

But let’s just say that the College did. “Who” would be the “he” be? Piro would be the most likely candidate, as he’s spent the most nights in Tiffany’s dorm room, without incident. Or the return of Quill. Back just in time to finish college and needing a room, fast. And Tiffany just happens to have one. I like Piro, but I’m not a fan of Quill. Of course, right about now, someone will chime in stating that those two guys have been flushed down the memory hole. But either guy would infinitely preferable to the loathsome Les.

The return of Piro?

Ahhh Tiffany…. you have to appreciate learning curves and Tiff’s seems a little steep at the moment. Looks like this week is Bernice helping Tiff with the curve, the question becomes if this aligns with Bets thoughts and if not which path does Tiff take and when will everyone learn about the issue with grades (will this cause this arc to continue for another 2 weeks or more?).

Of course Tiff may have already made the leap that she needs to move in with someone and is just in shock.

I know the overt message is that Tiffany, while is aware of her new mogul-hood objective, she still is clueless when it comes time for a gag.

However. The covert message (as amply reflected in comments) of a $90 a night sleepover morphs this strip into one worthy of Jimmy Johnson’s Arlo and Janis strip. A few commenters in the past have offer the solution of Tiff selling an xxx-rated commodity. But this comes too close IMHO.

I don’t think the dorm rules will allow sub-lets, Tiff. On the other hand if they were in SF $90 night for a couch might be a bargain. I’m in a rural town & just yesterday saw an ad for a room in a house for $529/mth.

Wait for it, waaaait for it, a solution awaits.

Even for a comic strip, her cluelessness , if really that bad, wouldn’t have gotten her out of grade school.

It’s good she is trying to adapt her economics course to “real” life, but she does need guidance into reality. And she realizes she could have a roommate to help with her finances. Who? I don’t see her moving in with anyone else.

$90.00 a night? Come on, Tiff, you could be making $90.00 an hour on that sofa.

There was a time when it was acceptable grammar to use masculine pronouns (“He”) for an unknown person. But, it had a problem: For people in some professions, such as secretaries or nurses, female pronouns were used. So, the preference for “He” for an unknown person was eventually recognized as sexist.

Even if Tiffany lived in that time, it should be presumed she would have a “She” for a roommate.

And in the spirit of Michael Dell, Tiffany invented AirBnB right inside her dorm room…

She simply does not get it!!. What’s it REALLY going to take?? I’m getting tired of all her drama and dilemmas.

Only if she’s running a hotel… with the strong accent on the first syllable!

I like Tiffany’s can-do attitude. She is slowly developing a business mind. But some ideas work (like the nail shop in her room) while others don’t (I have stayed in hotels for 70/night though not in CA). If she manages to rent her couch (at 90) for a night it could very well be to some desperate misguided soul that she would not want sharing space with her. Tomorrow Tiff could think to stay at home while Tom & Ann are in Italy and rent her room out during that period.

I wonder how much Tiffany would charge for using the bathroom?

Ha… she’ll rent out her dad’s place while he and ann are in Italy, except there will be remodeling going on during that time so that could present a problem. But she could just rent her bedroom at that house.

Well…, at least she’s trying to come up with a solution. Come to think of it… I wonder how Piro is doing…

A big thing in Florida right now is the ‘short term vacation rental’, which the Legislature in its non-existent wisdom has seen fit to grant permission to any residential property owner to operate, regardless of impact on surrounding property. So we have constant battles because some out of state owner of a single family home rents it out as a short term ‘wedding venue’ and tells the renters that their multiple tenants can park anywhere, including on the driveways of nearby homes or on vacant lots under construction. We keep hearing property owners who are angrier and angrier; these days, people shoot each other over parking spots, so I’m imagining that this is the next step. Relevance for Tiffany? She can rent her dad’s house out as a ‘short term vacation rental’ (you can let people sleep in walk-in closets, on couches in living rooms, on air mattresses in dining rooms). As long as they are out before the construction crew arrives, who will complain? And Tiffany will make a bundle, so she can continue to pay for her luxury dorm suite…

You’re getting there, Tiffany. Just think it through a little more. What are the alternatives?

With the right “he” she might just make it happen – but “they” wouldn’t be living in a dorm room.

Okay… I’m proud of Tiffany for getting the job at the Fuse, and for downsizing her wardrobe via E-bay. That will make moving out of the dorm a little easier.
