Yep. Called it yesterday that Bernice would pop this idea out due to dorm rules – a student cannot rent their dorm room to another student. Sorry, Tiff, but you gotta move into a regular dorm room with a female roommate.

What? There are rules against renting sofa space to imaginary sisters? That’s taking dorm rules too far!!

Seriously Greg should just end this strip or hire another writer for this strip because we are sick of Tiffany arc going absolutely nowhere I miss the old Greg where he gets arc done with a month and not drag for a whole freaking year!!!

Interesting how most of you want Tiffany to learn self-reliance and responsibility, yet bag on Bernice because she’s doing her job. It wouldn’t be fair to the other residents if she showed Tiffany preferential treatment.

If she had her nail salon business shut down, she certainly wouldn’t be allowed to turn her room into an air b&b :-)

Awww Tiffany you wanted to be a big sister! It shows that she was lonely coming up, although we all witnessed her way of compensating, and I still miss her hot Goth friend Crystal, who was not a little sister, but was a companion and friend(?) When is the roommate situation going to be resolved (this arc, or we have to wait) and who will it be, possibly Bets, or yet a new person, or persons? Leave Bernice alone, she is just doing her job, she is not perfect, but Tiffany needs this dose of reality.

Ann may provide that sister yet!

This reminds me a bit of Luann before she met Fay. It’s sad to see how Tiffany is so busy hearing her own monologue that she doesn’t hear Bernice. The RA must follow the college’s rules and help Tiffany find a shared room.

There’s a certain little girl with a flakey father who could benefit from Tiffany’s apparent change of perspective and personal growth. And seeing Brad and Toni deal with the combined shenanigans would be very interesting. I’ve always wanted to see Tiffany and Toni square off toe to toe because of the vast differences in attitude.

Nothing like having a little sister to look up to you… if only because you’re taller.

Sadly, Tiffany is still thinking in the “pipe dream” realm…… now do not get me wrong, as my moniker would suggest, I tend to find pipes and pipe tobacco related topics to be very pleasant… including “pipe” dreams :) …… BUT…. Tiffany needs to really make some real, grounded decisions at the moment:

1. It may very well be that TIffany could vacate her dorm and cohabitate with Bernice and Dez. I know several schools that use the same dorm room style for both “doubles” and for “triples”. In fact, way, WAY, WAY back in the day, I remember my switching from a double to a triple late in the Summer before my Freshman year started….. in order to try to save financially. If Dez and Bernie are willing to put up with Tiffany as a roomie…. that could benefit all three of them.

2. But still… more seriously than the room at this very instant…. Tiffany needs to address her coursework. I still firmly believe this is the critical step at the moment, even though our story’s focus is on her budget.

Other thoughts…

1. I find it entertaining how Tiffany finds her “roomie/pseudo-’lil sis” looks a helluva lot like Tiffany…. just a little less “dolled-up”. It reiterates how Tiffany has some narcissistic tendencies in her personality.

2. I think a Bernie/Dez/Tiffany grouping would be very entertaining and hope this occurs. But, I tend to think that other options are more likely to occur (Tiffany/Les/Gunther (blech) or Bets/Tiffany (“ok”) ).

3. To me….. I especially think Tiffany rooming with Bernie and Dez would be wonderful, because it would encourage Greg to feature Bernice more often. And, I really appreciate her character…. even with the flaws… I still think she is a very interesting character.

In Tiff’s world, rules are for other people.

The roomie has to pay the Uni, not the primary Renter.

Panel 2 is breathtakingly poignant. Poor Tiffany. Greg is really working the sentimentality here, and, yes, we do detest Bummer Bernie, the fly in everyone’s ointment….

Tiffany should move back in with Daddy. I think Ann would warm up to the idea of resuming her allowance and rent money after a week or two.
