What “year” is it?

Leaves fell fairly quickly in my front yard.

If those leaves were yellow, the tree might be a ginko. In central Missouri, ginkos all over town drop there leaves in a very short time. One morning, yellow trees. Same afternoon, yellow streets and lawns.

If only the leaves WOULD come down all at once in one afternoon. It would make Fall cleanups a lot easier … one and done.

Where we live, it is almost peak leaf peeping season — and it is, believe it or not, just a half hour from where Rip Van Winkle was supposed to have had his big nap.

Around here at this time of year all it takes is one strong wind and they all come down…in my neighbour’s yard. hehehe

Lemme get my leaf blower goin’. Heck, it’s after 6 am. On a Sunday. Dang it, those kids kept me up last night past 8 with their loud music. It was that darned Lawrence Welk too!

My summer was about 2 and a half weeks long. I am NOT looking forward a 10 month winter AND being TRAPPED inside of a coat and boots…

May be a maple tree. Supposedly they take least time to shed leaves.

It finally turned cold here (temp in the high 50’s at night and not breaking 70 during the day). Yesterday, was the first day this season I have not been in my pool because it was too cold. One year, my last dip in the pool was a week before Halloween.

Seasons are moving further into the year….start raking!

He shouldn’t nap, half-naked under a tree on a crisp Fall day, people will think he’s crazy or sleeping off a drunk.

Sometimes I correct it and it reaches back and “corrects” me then Sends before I can do a thing about it. It’s an evil entity.

I love this cartoon. Our ash tree is doing the same thing these days. Just beautiful!

Man, I wish. My birch trees don’t finish dropping leaves until after Christmas.

I think that’s why it’s called ‘fall’.

Of late I have seen the leaves on my trees falling like snow. Usually, I just go out and see them on the ground.

I’d be totally fine with that.

It may feel “crisp” to him, but to you and me it would be very hot. And that tree is losing its leaves from the heat and drought. (These humans have been engineered to survive in the new climate not unlike the Mesozoic except for the low oxygen levels.)
