No one with a cracked tailbone is ever comfortable.

Maybe this would’ve been something for Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage.

I’m more concerned for the people who believe them!

In some cases they are easier to find because there are so many. In others, the questioners are easier to find because they stand out.

By the time a story gets widespread enough to be called a myth, whoever started it is usually long gone.

Frazz does not Gas-light. No wonder I like this strip so much.

I’m SHOCKED — SHOCKED I say — Jef didn’t use the word coccyx in this otherwise boring arc.

I’m thinking that in the last panel the emphasis should’ve been on the don’t, not the question.

Frazz, I am afraid you are going to find that common sense is not so common anymore. Neither is questioning something that comes from your favorite news source.

Frazz should think about those myths while he’s running, because a myth is as good as a mile.

I don’t get the point Mallett is trying to make here. Where’s the myth? A big-enough leaf pile WILL provide a soft landing for a small child. I would think that Mallett would at least have Frazz ask the kid how big/tall was the pile, and if it had already been packed down before he jumped into it.

Regardless of whether this is a myth, it’s way too old to trace to its source.

It really depends on the size of the pile and just how long it’s been there. A freshly fallen leaf is still moist enough to provide more cushion, where a completely dried-up leaf will just crumble under you.

Just don’t jump in with a freshly licked lollypop (and lollypop juice on your mouth).

I enjoy mythology. And I enjoy urban myths, because it kind of seems like I’m here when things that are just getting started, and some of them may still be around generations from now. Exciting times.

Jef, is tomorrow’s going to be a riff on ‘hit or myth’….?

I broke my tailbone skiing once. The doctor told me if it hurts for a week, it’s bruised, and if it hurts for a month, it’s broken. It hurt for just about a month, and boy what fun that was!

You gotta believe, right? Of course. But you gotta question. Because believing IN something doesn’t work if you believe everything.

I wish people would refrain from using ‘myth’ as a synonym for ‘false’. Just because something didn’t happen in the solid world doesn’t mean it’s untrue or never happened.
