Ludo no longer has Krazy Kat’s ears, but he has Little Orphan Annie’s eyes. Why is this freaking me out?

I see where this going. The kids are going to move back to deal with their dementia.

MAN! I purr and cuddle. I entertain you by chasing a stupid red dot around the room. But is that enough for you? NNNNOOOOOOO!

I loved the video (a real one) that showed a 4yo boy being rescued from an attack by the dog that lived next door.

The dog runs over from the neighboring yard, seizes the boy by the bare leg, and drags him off his tricycle. But then the family cat, a young female tabby half the dog’s size, flashes into the picture and attacks the dog, driving it back into its own yard. She pauses a moment to be sure it’s going to stay there, and then runs back to check that her human friend is okay. It’s really an amazing video and probably still out there on youtube.

I’ve wondered since then what happened to the dog, since the attack was completely unprovoked. But it also might possibly have been the dog’s idea of being playful, so I don’t know. But the cat was definitely the heroine in the episode.

I find it charming that BOTH of them talk to their cat.

I had a cat that was more like a watch dog. It would patrol around the house, and sit on the top step of the porch keeping watch.

I saw a big Chow coming into the yard one day. That cat leaped off the top step, and sprinted toward the dog. The dog ran like a Cougar was after it.

I miss that cat.

Don’t worry Janis. There hasn’t been a bear seen in this area for years. As if Ludie would actually attack one… scaredy cat.

I hope that A&J decide to spend Christmas down at the coast. We haven’t seen Gene, Mary Lou, Meg and Gus in a while.
