Goldie is so cute and happy. Who needs her old, mean people. She now has the best family.

I think Buzzy Mouse has his own pajamas cuz I can clearly see Puck’s two hand paws.As for Goldie now that she has a furever home she will probably give lupins tape recorder back to him if she still has it as a Christmas peace offering. She’s no longer working on the mystery of her former owners whereabouts.

Elvis seems to be so pleased to have Goldie as part of the family that he is willing to put up with the pjs. Of course, it helps that he knows that Lupin hasn’t quite realised what is going on.

Some sad news my BCN and Go Comics friends. Sooty died last night. She had a cardio thrombosis that lost her the use of her back legs. The vet did what he could but in the end I had to let her go.

This just in…several windows in the surrounding area have shattered, due the high pitched screams of delight from our viewing audience. Also, more breaking news…the extreme heavy duty Cute Meter, has melted where it stood…

Oh my cat! Everyone looks so cute in there Christmas pj’s.

I also have sad news. My 18 year old kitty Maxie’s health has been failing and I am taking her in to be put to sleep at 12:15 EST. I maybe should have done it yesterday already but I just couldn’t do it then. I wanted one last day with her. But she is not eating and can barely move anymore. She is my only cat right now so that made the decision even harder, I think. The house will be so empty without her.

Small update report. All is well. Trixie is becoming more and more like a non-feral. She still has her moments of panic if surprised but otherwise acts like a self respecting master of humans.

Shadow is adjusting well to her meds and has not had a seizure in a month or more.

Stampede Partners LLC is now comprised of nothing but full partners. The interns and juniors have all reached adult status and gallop with the elders.

CATSPLOSION Report. Lewis, one of the original feral kittens learned a valuable lesson over the weekend. It appears that the Num Num Giver (Lisa) foolishly left a plastic grocery bag filled with Christmas booty out in the open. Mixed in with the ribbons and paper and sundries was a pile of (Dun Dun DAH) kitty toys. Specifically catnip laden faux prey creatures.

Lewis was admonished twice for poking his head in the bag. With a lifted middle claw on the front right paw he inserted himself firmly into the bag. The Num Num Giver yelled and Lewis catsploded. Unfortunately for all parties, upon his exit he put his head through one of the handles. He bolted across the room and up the stairs leaving a trail of toys and paper and stuff behind. Mind you, he was running with his body INSIDE the bag.

He spent the following 24 hours in great distress. He was wearing what looked like crappy rain pancho, which crinkled every time he moved. This would spook him and off he went. Every time we tried to approach he would hiss and bolt. Finally, the next morning he leaped up on the bed around 6 am. I woke up and was able to hook a finger in the bag. He instantly bolted. The bag remained.

Took 2 days for him to settle down. It remains to be seen if he can overcome his nip addiction in the future. Addicts will go to any length, and I don’t think they accept cats in N.A.

Oh dear, their horizontal hold appears to be out …

I do hope we get a big Lupin grin for Christmas…perhaps as a result of a special gift from his new sister? I miss his grin. Of course, I do keep sending out Christmas cards from the BCN Zazzle shop with Lupin (and grin) in a wreath…

That shows how much you really loved her, letting her go when her life could no longer be a good one. So sorry for your loss. I am probably in the final weeks with my own old sweetie. It is always hard.

Since there is so much sadness in the comments today, I thought I would post this, rather than waiting for Sunday-Funday. This is from the lady who fostered Enrico Furmee:

“… Rico [Enrico Furmee] and Roz [his tabby friend from CARE] were both adopted a few weeks ago by a nice family. I heard that they are doing well.”

So Enrico and Roz are in their furever home for the holidays. That’s a very nice holiday present for us!

When I was a kid we always opened presents on Christmas eve ( My parents were German ) so tonight the kitties got Christmas dinner – a big plate of premium wet and dry cat food and some ham. I know ham isn’t good for cats but this weekend one of my friends said it’s not good for people either, and that changed my perspective. And tonight Santa will fill a big heavy glass bowl with all sorts of cat toys and tomorrow they’ll spend the day pulling them out and kicking them around. For four of them, the flood rescue kittens, this is their first Christmas. So from 27 happy kitties and me, Happy Holiday!

Lupin is not a good boy for days running.

Lupin is wondering if they’re in prison now.

Today they (George and those ripped off by the evil banker) would rush the bank and kill the @-hole who jammed George up to begin with (SNL actually did a skit on that).. So sorry for the loss of your loved kitty. We have three of our senior cats in our backyard among the trees where they liked to play. I swear, some nights I get a glimpse of three little lights in those same trees. I can only smile through my tears and pass on, for a while at least.
