Well it is obvious that Les is better with kittens than with people. Punk has flat out grab his heart and is letting us see Les’s good side. No I guess we will learn what Bets and Gunther have planned for Valentine’s Day.

Leslie just won’t admit to others he has grown fond of the cat.

Aww…. Les has a good heart after all. Good for him. Sorry he has to have such an evil mother but still….. Wonder if his dad will make an appearance assuming he is still around to do that. He could be the one to bring the proof needed to bring her down!

a week tour of “Luannville”

I love anything with Punk and Les. As a cat-lover I completely empathize. I never thought he was really mean or annoying so this just puts him on equal footing with other characters.

I love the odd couple dynamic of Gunther living with the guy who used to bully him in school… and love seeing more dimension to Les’s character.

Now, what I’m really hoping for is that JACK makes a play for Lu for Valentines.

More and more it appears that this sequence is merely consists of reflections on St. Valentine’s Day by various characters. Luann and Bernice, Sunday. Luann and Pru, Monday/Tuesday. Bernice and Dez, Wednesday. Les and Punk, Today.

So! Gunther and Bets tomorrow? On the big day? And will Luann’s prurient interest in the couple be “put to bed,” as it were?

Total insecurity and fear with Les, which makes sense considering who his mother is. Someone once wrote. “I want a man so stromg he can be gentle, and so tough he can be kind.”

And does this arc end with Nancy and Frank at a Valentine’s Day dinner, or Toni and Brad?

Come on Les, smile. You are not really as tough as you like people to think. With the evil Ann as your mother we can understand your attitude. I am waiting to see if some sweet thing comes along and breaks your defensive armor

I suspect it’s time for Luann to discover a little romance again. Maybe a secret admirer let’s her know she has one on V’s Day.

Les will be dragged kicking and screaming to being emotionally functional with a family and friends.

I like Les more than Gunther lately. It is hard to dislike someone who loves animals.

Les loves Punk but he is afraid for anyone to know it. Because of how he was raised he’s uncomfortable showing love or friendship.

Looks like we’re seeing all (or almost all) of the characters and what they’re doing for Valentines day. Is this G&K’s way of making up for not even mentioning Valentines day last year?

“Tough Guy” Les just HATES, HATES having anyone (perhaps especially Gunter) see that he cares about something.

BUT…. it is a damn good thing that his caring IS there. For all of his many faults… Les is on a growth curve.

My kitty loves to bat things around, but she is not into the mice. She loves the little balls and her absolute favourite is a little helicopter toy. She used to have 10 of them, but now she is down to one (at least until we pull the stove out from the wall and find where she batted them).

I should start calling him Crowley.

Les never admits to any sort of Vulnerability because his Mother used to Pounce on them and make sure it Hurt.

That strange and unfamiliar throbbing thing in your chest is called a heart, Leslie. Meow!
